  1. Thank you Scott, I went as far as the 220 grid and that was about as much as me and my neighbours could take. Next time, when I get a set of headers I will go perhaps a little deeper. Nothing wrong with the original exhaust manifolds, except for being manifolds. Casted, rusted and heavy . For now it will do, with just a little cleanup. The next step is suspension. And again , trying to keep it as stock as possible, but not too much.

  6. 15 years in Edmonton generates some serious not so stainless steel:) I’m contemplating powder coating them, but then , this turd is going to be babied from now on and properly polished stainless looks sick. this is about three ours with power tools and an acid wash.

Surrendered to RAF at Schleswig-Jagel, it was transferred to the USAAF, becoming Watson’s Whizzers ‘999’, Evaluated as FE-610, but later e-serialed T-2-610 it was named “Ole Fruit Cake” and “Schwalbe”. Scrapped at Freeman Field, IN.
