Thanks for liking it and it's already been at the show and you're right not only did it stand out but it surprised everyone with its design. -
(WIP) Curtiss A-8 „SHRIKE” 1:48 Czech Model
Kriss replied to Kriss's topic in LSM 1/48 Work in Progress
To conclude the workshop I present a completed 1:48 scale Curtiss A-8 ‘Shrike’ model from Czech model company. Despite the fact that it has its years and is made as a short run with the addition of resin parts and a vacu cockpit cover it was very pleasant to build, the parts fit and the decal worked well with liquids. The model depicts machine serial number 32-347, #80 from 37th Assault Squadron, Landgley Field, Virginia circa 1934. -
(RIF) “Northumbrian” 1830 – Świat z kartonu 1:35 test
Kriss replied to Kriss's topic in Non LSM Ready for Inspection.
That's very kind of you and thank you very much, and so honestly I would like to be able to paint myself. Now it is I have such a set to help because and the years are doing their thing. -
This is the test model of the 1830 ‘Northumrian’ locomotive in 1:35 scale made as a 3D printout and the publisher is the ‘World of Cardboard’ company. The construction went without any problems, the parts fit together and I can't but recommend the model and invite you to the gallery. I would like to thank the ‘Swiat z kartonu’ company for the model I received.

I'll take pictures for the gallery today and if I still have enough time I'll make them available today.

I managed to finish and show the model in time for the competition in £ambinowice.

The stretches managed to be done and somehow they look good. All that remains is for me to put all the loose parts together and the model will be ready. -

I was very apprehensive about the decals from the kit due to their age, I didn't know how they would behave during application but it turned out that my fears were completely unnecessary. They reacted very well with the decal liquids. I was most pleased with the superb fit on the underside of the fuselage between the two diagonal stripes and the checkerboard. -
The work is slowly progressing, you can see a little progress as well as the painting.

The formwork including the hardware is already in place and I am struggling with the rest. Many thanks for the material you have provided.

Curtiss is getting its colours, just the red panel left to go and the decals can be applied. -

Primer laid and without amendments the build came out, now the camouflage colours to be applied remain. -

Only the glazing still needs to be fixed and the primer can be applied, slowly and forward. -
The 1830 Northumbria is the next test model to arrive in my workshop. 3D printed scale 1:35 and the publisher is ‘World from Cardboard’ and this is what it looks like and we will see what comes out of it. By the way, I would like to ask if there are any materials, drawings of this locomotive? Maybe there are also plans of the wagons it could pull? I have something but there are considerable discrepancies in it, or any railway forum worthy of recommendation? Suggestions and suggestions not just for the publisher welcome. Many thanks in advance.

I have been looking through archive photos and modelling forums for inspiration on how to make the stretches. There is a lot of material and I will do the tensioning as I always do. So the mounting eyes are done and are already fixed in the model except for the ones on the wings, there they will be only after the decals are applied. -
I'm glad you like it. There is a plan to have another locomotive in the workshop later this week, for now we are not revealing which one it will be. The Penydarren locomotive is now available for sale.

This is the last workshop photo of the test model of the locomotive ‘Catch me who can’, the construction went without any problems, the parts fitted and I can't but recommend the model and invite you to the gallery. I would like to thank the company ‘Świat z kartonu’ for the model I received.

I'm slowly coming to the end, just two more elements for the controls and a gallery to do.

Work continues, the drive mechanism completed. I just replaced the guide elements with metal tubes. The colour is also already there. All that remains is to put the wheels on and connect them to the drive.
