PAnderson Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I found this online and bought an assorted color pack from Cabella's. The medium is .012/.3mm and the fine is probably half that. I think this would be great for wiring purposes. I got Black, Yellow, Green, Gold, Red, Magenta for $10.00.
StreetFightingMan Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Looks interesting. I'm always looking for an excuse to drive out to Cabella's, I'll have to look for it next time.
CallSignOWL Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 oooh, nice find! using colored wire will produce better results than trying to paint it, I think
Guest Ninetalis Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Cool find Panderson!Only thing I have with fishing rod is that it's not as forceable and 'permanent' as copper wire...or did I miss something and it's not something similar as fishing rod? With regards, Ninetalis.
PAnderson Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 Cool find Panderson! Only thing I have with fishing rod is that it's not as forceable and 'permanent' as copper wire... or did I miss something and it's not something similar as fishing rod? With regards, Ninetalis. Ninetalis, I am holding a spool in my hand. It is metal wire .012/.3mm in diameter. I have no idea how they color it. But I twisted it, folded it and it seems pretty strong to me. I guess it's primary use is for fly tying. I will be using it to wire up my Me 262's front office and gun bay. I will post pics. Paul
Dave J Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Nice find... What's the web address? and do they ship internationally?
PAnderson Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 Nice find... What's the web address? and do they ship internationally? Dave, I am sure Cabella's will ship anywhere. It is a very well known sporting goods chain. They had a 6 spool assortment for $9.99 Cabella's/Ultra Wire I also found it on Ebay starting at 1.99/spool Paul
