ATTENTION

Some time ago WnW said the they will do a Sopwith Camel.

I just received a message form Richard Alexander tell me that all votes for the Camel are a wasted because WnW will do it!!

So stop voting on the Camel. We will have a WnW Camel! J

If anyone who voted for the Camel wants to chance their votes, please do.

1. Curtiss Jenny - because it is one of the most historically significant aircraft of the pre WWI (JN-2/3) and WWI (JN-4) era.

2. Hanriot HD.1 / HD.2 (w/floats) - Lots of really neat Italian schemes not to mention Belgian ace Willy Coppens flew it. I'd buy two.

3. SPAD XIII w/ Frank Luke and Eddie Rickenbacker markings at the very least.

I know you asked for top three, but I would be remiss if I didn't add another vote for the Albatross DIII OEFAG with Cooper's Kosciuszko sqdn "Swirily" camo.

Not going to beg, but pretty much ANYTHING kitted by Academy/Hobbycraft in the past would be great as well, such as the silver-winged Nieuports.

My ideas are:

Breguet XIV (including USAS versions, please!)

Airco D.H. 4 (including 55 Squadron and USAS versions, please!)

Avro 504 (including post-war-versions, like the "N", please!)

And concerning the Sopwith Camel: How about (post-armistice) USAS versions, too? And Trainers? And a "Comic"?

By the way: I am looking foreward to the AEG and the post-war versions of the NINAK and the Brisfit!

Thank you Pardelhas for your initiative! And a huge THANKS to all at WingnutWings!

I know it's not in line with the kit wish list exactly, but I would dearly love to see WNW partner with companies like Aber, Master Model, etc. and start dropping their brass & PE guns (Spandau, Lewis, etc.) into the kits. Here's my thinking: Those of us gravitating to the WNW kits are seeking (and buying) the "Cadillac"/"Mercedes" kits of this genre. I know that as a default, if I'm buying and building this level of kit, It's going to be a given that I am going to reach out to after market options to add that extra special detail that these Aber and Master Models guns provide. So, if I'm going to spend the money anyway, why not take the approach that Squadron has with their Czech Model & Special Hobby re-releases, and include the extra goodies with the kit from the get-go. Maybe RB Productions can be partnered with to create WWI fabric seat belts as well.

So, I'm curious, how many of you would be willing to pay a bit more for WNW kits if these things were already included. Or, do you prefer to make a separate purchase?

Thanks, WNW, for listening to us. We truly appreciate and share your passion for this genre and what your whole team has brought to the modeling world with these releases. Keep up the great work!

I'm firmly against the idea of loading WNW kits up with AM stuff & charging more. I feel this will simply reduce the market size, since the additional cost will put it beyond the means of many. The current system of buying a staggeringly good base kit & adding whatever AM you would like is great. It's flexible, price conscious, easily moulded to individuals budgets & tastes, leaves room for companies like Pheon, Aviattic, Master etc to operate & add value, keeps the base cost of the kit to a low level, allows WNW to concentrate on producing sprues & decals, crucially giving them more time to develop & launch more kits more quickly.

If there is a market for it, perhaps other companies can echo what Squadron did with Rodens 1/32 kits & add some quality resin & PE and sell them under the Encore brand?
