ajcmac
By having little free space in my showcase I stopped building models in 1/32 scale. Yet here I have some one or two already started and some still sealed in the box. One, a P-40E Hasegawa, that I started to offer to a friend. The model that I intend to build is the «Texas Long Horn» This model looks like a patchwork quilt. The use of Hasegawa for with the same mold do the various versions of the P-40. Much putty and sandpaper. Redid lines and rivets. Finished interior. The seat with the seat belts. Regards ajcmac

ajcmac
RalphSarc The metal parts are HGW and belts made with Tamiya tape. JeroenPeters Thank you. Continuing. As I had already said I used a lot of putty and a lot of sandpaper. Glued wings and fuselage. I started painting the Azure Blue. A mixture made with Tamiya paints. After I applied light and shadow. ajcmac
I had ordered the mask Eduard to continue to camouflage paint and this about a month. Still waiting. On the one hand it was good because it allowed me glue and paint parts that usually leave for the end and then it takes me a long time to finish the model. The propeller. Doors and landing gear. Painted the wells of the landing gear ... and finished the additional fuel tank. I am currently trying, with Tamiya tape, make the mask for the canopy. I hope to get to continue painting the model. Daywalker
Looking at the spinner, the OD color is so rich. Not quite sure how to explain it, but I really like the look you have achieved. Is it mostly pre shading that is very subtly showing through? What paint are you using for your OD? I have had mixed results getting "the look" with OD, but yours is just what I would like to achieve.

Then, shading, silver applied with a sponge and finally a wash with Wash Dark MIG. Regards ajcmac

(I had some weird fit issue)Ted Ted Overall, wings, the rear of the cockpit, the rear fuselage, the fittings are weak. I used a lot of putty and sandpaper. On the wings solved the problem by using a bit of sprue. To all, Merry Christmas. Regards ajcmac
ajcmac
I painted the Dark Hearth. I used the H-72 of Gunze. For vertical stems used the same paint (H-72) and painted at the same time.

ajcmac
You're making good progress! Is Gunze your preference when airbrushing? Ted Ted Sorry about my English. I hope you understand. Since I can remember I always used Tamiya paints. First the enamel and then acrylic. As before was building tanks never had problems. Since I switched tanks for aircraft models (2009) emerged me problems since the Tamiya had no specific paints for model planes. Much searching on the net and a lot of trial there could go arranging mixtures. Fortunately, with the launch of models in 1/32 scale things were improving. Earlier this year I built a model from Tamiya... Dornier 335 with RLM 81 and 83. The references by Tamiya, as was becoming habit, always referred up the cans of spray. I do not like and the mixtures I did also not please me. Then moved to the Gunze. I've used and liked. For dilution use thinner Tamiya (X-20 A) and do mixtures, lights and shadows, with white or yellow and black Tamiya. Despite continuing with the Tamiya paints in aircraft models English and Japanese on Germans models I started to paint them with Gunze.
