AlgiaNick Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 Here we have to prepare the wings. Wings are given “ready” with all the surfaces “in a single piece” and the modeler has to assemble the ailerons, flaps and the wingtips (HK gives 2 types, the earlier with 2 lights configured and the later with 1 light configured). The fit is pretty good!! About the weapons, there are two choices: The “cookie bomb” of 4000 lb, or 4 standard RAF bombs of 500 lb each other. Fuel tanks which included in bomb bay have to be painted carefully, slide and “lock” in the middle of the wings! The fuselage can be combined with the wings, by a simple pushing and one ”click”. The nacelles are “locked” on the wings by simple pushing! One more negative point for this model is that HK hasn’t drilled holes at the lower surface of the wings, for the external tanks, so the modeler has to calculate it. Next update is ready!!! !!! Stay tuned my friends!!! 1
AlgiaNick Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 For painting, I used H 332 for lower surfaces. For the upper surfaces, I used H 335 and H 331. Stripes are calculated for 19,5mm (for this scale) and painted with H11 and H12. Next update, after I 'll have applied decals!!! Stay tuned my friends!! 2
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 17, 2015 Administrators Posted June 17, 2015 Wow! nice progress. Came and pre shading looks nice! Keep m coming! By the way: Profi Modeller makes a nice decal set with stencils for this model. More detailed than HK. You might want to check it out... 1
