rick geisler
I am having trouble posting pictures. I must say this site is one of the more difficult I have encountered. I can do it, then I can't? Help please! RAGIII
DoDo
I've been using Photobucket. You can copy a direct link there to your picture, then paste the link using the 'image' button in your post.
rick geisler
I have worked on the interior. Still touch up to do and I need to down size the photos a bit ! I had to switch to Chrome as an operating system to post photos. The site didn't seem to agree with IE? RAGIII
rick geisler
The wood is Oils over Tamiya buff. The Dark Horizon blue is a Poly S version of FS 35109. I applied a wash of burnt sienna and black oils to the cockpit floor. Next up is the rigging of the frames. RAGIII
rick geisler
I have finished I have finished most of the cockpit rigging. I should finish later today. After final touch up I will close up the fuselage and move on to the next step. RAGIII
rhwinter
This looks beautiful, RAGIII! The Salmson's cockpit seems to be even more a kit within the kit, than the other WnW cockpits I have seen so far. Looking foreward to your next update! rick geisler
Thanks for the Compliment Richard! The Salmson cockpit is certainly an involved process! One must think about the assembly and rigging sequence( Something I fell a little short on doing). I made up for some mediocre planning by using stretched sprue for a lot of the bracing wires and control cables ! RAGIII
Administrators James H Posted September 12, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 12, 2015 Lovely work. We really don't see enough Salmson models built.
rick geisler
Thanks James, I appreciate you looking in! I agree that the Salmson has been somewhat under represented in builds, though I have seen several that are outstanding. That being said the German 2 seaters, the FEEs and Harry Tate seem to get most of the spotlight with builds! RAGIII
Administrators Fran Posted September 13, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2015 great start!! I really like the Salmson..
rick geisler
great start!! I really like the Salmson.. Thanks for the comment! I have finished the control lines and glued the Interior into the right fuselage half. I have placed the upper decking on to show how little is visible once assembled: RAGIII

rick geisler
Here is the last update for a little while. The fuselage halves are glued together. A little, very little filling needed then on to the Engine! RAGIII PS: The upper decking is not glued! Any gaps will disappear when actually installed permanently!
