  1. So far so good. I’ve been watching Andy’s Hobby Headquarters two part YouTube video build picking up hints and tips along the way which has been very helpful. There have been no fit issues as of yet.
  2. Continued on with the other half of step 2 and joined the other chassis suspension frame rail to the first frame rail and placed the bottom to the chassis.
  3. Thanks Kevin I’m very fortunate indeed!
  4. Oh man that was a bit fiddly!!! A3 and A4 not very clearly marked as to its fit!! However after Iturned the instructions up side down I saw the error of my way instantly, lol!!!
  5. Yeah it’s 30’ long, 13’ tall and 8’ wide driven by a fuel injected Ford Triton V10 with a 5 speed transmission. It would be fine as long as no one was coming the other way, lol!!!
  6. Off to a good start. Completed steps 1 and half of step 2 assembling parts of the suspension and began installing them on the chassis frame rail.
  7. Thanks. Yeah the 1/35 Tamiya half tracks have lots of possibilities. I have all four!
  8. Actually I’ve been very busy. First and foremost I got married after a two year courtship! Plus I sold my Class B RV and finally jumped in and purchased a lightly used 2016 Fleetwood Flair 29T which we’ve been enjoying along with riding our eBikes. We’ve headed to Portugal for a two week river cruise on October 27th. Sadly it’s been difficult to find any bench time however things have settled down a bit allowing me to start my Das Werk build so stay tuned, lol!!
  9. Das Werk 1/16 Sd. Kfz..251/1 Aust.D German Halftrack build thread. (Started 10-17-2024) The Sd. Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.D is a German armored half-track infantry fighting vehicle from World War II.It was designed by Hanomag to transport German mechanized infantry into battle. It was based on the unarmored Sd. Kfz. 11 half-track vehicle and was the most widely produced German half-track of the war, with at least 15,252 vehicles and variants produced by seven manufacturers. The Sd. Kfz. 251 was designed to be fast, inexpensive to produce, and able to navigate a variety of rough terrains. German and Allied soldiers commonly referred to the Sd. Kfz. 251 as "Hanomags" after the manufacturer! Enjoy the build!
  10. Indeed it does. I had fun building it.
  11. Finished my Tamiya 1/35 US M16 Multipule Gun Motor Carriage today. Had fun assembling it however the decal disintegrated while being installed. Luckily I had extra WWII US decals that suited the build! Tamiya produces four M16 variants to choose from and I’d highly recommended any of them.
  12. Holy smokes that’s a lot of spruce bags!!! First ever 1/16 build. Should be fun!
  13. Very glad I purchased these air brush cleaning brushes years ago because someone let Stynylrez in his airbrush for a week!!! Finally after several hours of cleaning it’s spraying again!!!
  14. Lord I hate it, lol!!! I’m not at the museum skill set that I’d consider scribing all the detail back!! That’s why I love the Dark Side!!! Cover it with mud and no one knows the difference!!
  15. Priming with Stynylrez to reveal a bit more seam work!! Did I say I hate seam work???
  16. Thanks Martin!! Greatly appreciated!
  17. Oh you got to try it!! Virtually no sanding as it cleans up with a cotton swab and warm water. It’s nirvana, lol!!$
  18. I love Perfect Putty!!!
  19. Yeah it has a lot of possibilities!
