This is all Mike Hede’s fault!!! I was tired from a long RV travel day and I just wanted to check my Amazon orders!!  Evidently I accidentally ordered this Tamiya 1/48 NAVY A1A Sky Raider as my first Navel Aircraft Build so I had to balance the order and purchase a Tamiya 1/35 US Medium Tank M26 Pershing! It’s all his damn fault!!!!

Hand painting all the stowage, bike etc plus a bit of chipping before I begin to weather with a few oil washes and pigments. Also need to paint the crew figure and 50cal plus install both.

I have several of the colors and Rubber Black and Aluminum are my go to pens. Super easy especially for cheating on road wheels, lol!! -
Some Clever Putty over a base coat of Stynylrez Black Surface Primer and a top coat of Tamiya XF-62 Olive Drab and we have a late war camouflage scheme.

This was a fun but challenging kit. Lots of fit issues especially around the wing root and nacelles areas. Would I build it again…..absolutely. Such a cool aircraft! -
