  1. I’ve fallen in love with that cast marking technique. Really gives satisfying results. I’m a big Tamiya fan boy also. I’m building a 1/16 kit also and they are tedious due to the part counts and complexity of the kits.
  2. Thanks! We’re in PA now at a beautiful state park. Headed to Niagara Falls tomorrow.
  3. Gone RVing!!! We’ll be back the end of July!!
  4. Lots and lots of fiddly handholds, headlight and taillight brackets plus the main gun attached to the turret. Starting to really look like an Easy Eight now!!
  5. Let me know if you find an inexpensive source.
  6. Mail call!! Lately I’ve enjoyed a few YouTube videos from model shows around the world. I’ve picked up a few add-on items for my Easy Eight build and one of these Tamiya 1/35 bikes lashed across the rear deck will add a ton of interest.
  7. Last mail call before we leave on our Canadian, Vermont and Maine trip. Received a Tamiya 1/48 German aircraft power cart along with a Kettenkraftad tow vehicle. Plus a mask for the canopy on my Me210 build.
  8. Me too!!! I’ve been practicing with mine on cardboard, lol!!!
  9. Thanks I look forward to a winter of fun builds!
  10. Thanks again Martin. Love the camouflage painting above the two crew looking at the side gun!! That’s the way I spray, lol!!
  11. Apparently I’ve been sleep ordering on Amazon again, lol!!!
  12. The paint for my Stug build arrived today. I’m anxious to try this Rotbraun RAL 8017.
  13. Completed attaching parts in step 18,19 and 20! Lots of “very” fiddly part!!
  14. Excellent picture and it would stand to reason that it would be located on an engine pod. My eBay canopy mask is scheduled to arrive today so I may start painting and detailing the cockpit today. Unfortunately we leave for a month long RV trip to Canada and Maine Saturday morning so all modelling will be at a stand still until we return.
  15. Continuing with the assembly of the upper hull. Step 20 involved the placement of 11 tiny fender brackets along each side of the hull and fenders!!!
  16. Oh yeah a mask on a German green house canopy are a must!!
  17. Good idea. I guess I’ll have to research where that panel was? Any idea?
  18. Plus Mike gave me a great idea so I ordered a Tamiya 1/48 German Aircraft Power Supply and Kettenkraftrad Tow Vehicle Model Kit. Thinking about a possible towing diorama for my Me410 with a tarp over the canopy!! it was Mike’s fault, lol!!!
  19. Saw where a Modeller fashioned a tarp over his models canopy presumably to shade the cockpit! I thought that would look cool on my Me410. Since I purchased all the stuff to teach myself the technique I thought what the hell I’ll use it on my 410…… then I done have to detail the cockpit and mask the canopy, lol!!!
  20. Between Amazon and a visit to Walmart yesterday I have all the components to teach myself how to fashion trapping and netting on my armor builds. Should be a fun technique and useful in adding interest in future builds.
  21. After a bit of research I realized that the forward facing hull plate, rear hull plate and driving compartment top were all made of cast steel. So after some assembly I set upon installing more cast marks using a mixture of Tamiya Putty and Tamiya Extra Thin. Very anxious to see the results once the kit is finished!
