Just had a big box from Andy's Hobby Headquarters dropped off...... Takom AH-64E and a Takom AH-64D ....... I'll get a chance to crack them open and get that up close & personal look at both kits tomorrow. And ............... I have the ICM CH-54A Tarhe on the way from Sprue Brothers

I went looking and I guess I have all the Takom kits I want (so far) in the stash. So instead I ordered the RFM Korean War Sherman tank with the extra detail set by RFM. -Scott

Hi Peter, I 'borrowed' a few tips from you for this build. My first experience using MRP paints.... wow do those lay down nicely !!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel .....still a ways off but it is there !! -Scott

Hey GusMac, Yeah there are a fair number of them to lay down ......at least its not a fully stenciled bird ! Scott

Just a quick pic to show where I'm at on the Tamiya B model ......so far I'm very happy with where things are at. I have to lay down the little decals on the wing tops and under the fuselage. -Scott

Hi Peter, I have a procedural question. Did you lay down a gloss black base under the Alclad metal colors and if so, did you put down the gloss black over the bare plastic or over the MRP primer ? I am just getting to my primer stage on my F-4B. Thanks ! Scott

Hi Peter I am leaning towards a USMC bird .....VMFA-323 Death Rattlers. I'll post some pics once I get my paint laid down and I am happy with it. I have a stack of Hasegawa Phantoms, and a ZM F-4EJ just arrived today so I guess I will feel some pain with those intakes compared to the Tamiya ones which were perfect. Scott

This is an awesome thread to follow Peter !!!! Very helpful and educational ! I am at the point with my Tamiya F-4B of attaching the intakes, tail, etc. and will be heading for primer soon. Keep the posts coming ! -Scott
