  1. Someone actually produced this model in 1:35 scale, but it's unavailable now. https://www.super-hobby.com/products/Dora-Railway-Gun.html
  2. On my workbench today is this 1:35 scale Rye Field MRAP vehicle. The kit is extremely detailed. So much so, I've taken a bit of a break from it until I regain traction to finish it up.
  3. I got this Hobby Boss "Dora" Railway Gun. In 1:72 scale, it's not "big enough" to post the build on LSM, even though the finished model will be almost 44 inches in length.
  4. I agree. Just can't see the Ju-52 being a big seller.
  5. This was my inspiration for the diorama, although mine being finished in USA markings, thought about a Stuart tank rather than a Matilda.
  6. I've been eyeballing this kit. Glad to see a build review of it here. Looks good quality.
  7. It was my intention to build a tank, then a diorama with the wrecker pulling the tank out of a mire. I would dirty everything up at the same time to match the diorama terrain.
  8. The changes for me include a reluctance to attend Mass, and a couple of cancelled flights out of state. Other than that, not too much change. I will say, however, the whole thing seems overblown and in many ways, preposterous. Frankly, I believe the measures taken to save us from the virus are more harmful than the disease itself. It's made me have lower opinion of the news media (which was low to begin with) and a strong dislike for technocrats. I am more careful than ever to wash my hands frequently and to keep my hands away from my face which is something my mother taught me long ago as a child. Remember all the childhood crap one could catch in the 50's?
  9. The newbie already screwed up. I intended for this post (and a few others) to go into the "Armor" finished projects. Is there any way I can move or delete them from this forum topic?

  13. When I build biplanes, I twist some fine gauge wire into loops, then use these as points to tie off my rigging. I cut off short pieces of micro brass tubing to act as a ferrule/sleeve rather than tying off the rigging. Not perfect, but a lot more cost effective than aftermarket accessories. For rigging, I use 2 pound test monofilament fishing line.
  14. 1:35 IBG Scammell Pioneer SV2S Heavy Breakdown Tractor, built in 2020. Built out of box, stock.
  15. 1:32 Revell Military Wrecker, built in 2020 This kit by Revell was from the early 1980's, but I am reasonably certain it is a re-box of the old Renwall kit from way back in the 60's. Crude, but a decent kit. Lots and lots of flash.
  16. 1:35 MP Models M50 Israeli Sherman, built in 2020.
  17. 1:35 Trumpeter BR-52 Steam Locomotive, built in 2019.
  18. This Zoukei Mura kit fits extremely well. In fact, it fits so well that any paint work done before construction will cause fit issues with the various internal structures and outer panels. Assemble first, then mask and paint as required. I have several other Zoukei Mura kits waiting in the wings and plan to do a couple of them this year.
  19. I really don't recall having any issues with the canopy whatsoever.
  20. 1:32 Trumpeter TBM3 Avenger, with no aftermarket. Built in 2020
  21. 1:32 Revell AR196 Arado, built out of box, no aftermarket.
  22. 1:32 Wingnut Wings Albatros D.V, built in 2019. Built from box parts, no aftermarket.
  23. 1:32 Zoukei-Mura J7W1 Shinden, built in 2019. Added were a couple of ZM photo etch sets.
  24. I'm a firm believer in buying low and selling high. My advice is to wait. It's a seller's market right now.
