I decided to do the a/c flown by George Welch in New Guinea. You'll remember he and Taylor were able to knock down some Japanese planes at Pearl Harbor flying P-40's. Not a real colorful bird but typical of the P-39's in New Guinea in 1942. I added brass  .30's on the wings, hollow plastic tube for both the .50's and the nose 30mm. Painted with Testor's, Humbrol and my mix for Bell Green in the cockpit, wheel wells and landing gear. The only after market I used were the Zotz decals. I hope you like it.

Thank you Dave.:) Not one of my best efforts I'm afraid. 🙄

Another awesome P-39 and you're so right the scheme and markings represent how most P-39's looked in that area of operations. So very well done.

Very nice, John.

Thank you Gaz. I don't think it's one of my best efforts however as I wanted to get it finished and move on. At any rate, there it is, all done and ready to join my P-39 family. :)

Thanks Peter. I really just wanted to finish it and move on to the Cavalier P-51 build so I'm afraid it's not quite up to my usual standards. Oh well. 🙄 Who knows, maybe I'll come back to it later on and do some more work on it.
