I’m sure it’s fine to do. But anyone got experience doing this?

I ask because I just realized my Tamiya rattle can gray primer is a perfect match for the upper half gray on my Galileo Shuttlecraft build.
Just clear lacquer, decals then clear flat.  image.thumb.jpg.8fb21ac113f1316a8f5279e973fba9a2.jpg

The only thing I would say is that I have had few bad experiences putting lacquer spray clear over lacquer paint (especially primer) that has fully cured. It sometimes causes the first coat to soften and crinkle up. I'd test it on something else first. If your clear flat is acrylic, you're probably ok.

Well, after feeling the primer it’s gotta be sanded anyway.  So I’ll probably mix up something really close to it.
