CP1 Posted July 4, 2024 Author Posted July 4, 2024 Thanks…just waiting on some diorama items to arrive. The interior of the cafe will have five tables with chairs and a wall cabinet with coffee cups and bottles . The second floor will be an office. 1
KevinM Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 And then you get to blow it up It's looking really good! 1 1
CP1 Posted July 5, 2024 Author Posted July 5, 2024 Adding water to fountain. This will be done in a few layers allowing for curing time over the next few days 5

belugawhaleman Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 Looking great! I was wondering what you were going to do about the fountain water.
CP1 Posted July 5, 2024 Author Posted July 5, 2024 7 minutes ago, belugawhaleman said: Looking great! I was wondering what you were going to do about the fountain water. It’s so time consuming…you can only add 1/8 inch at a time and 24 hours for curing between pours. 1

CP1 Posted July 6, 2024 Author Posted July 6, 2024 Never heard of it. I assume by the name you have to have a UV light along with the resin. 1

The resin cures with the application of ultraviolet light...quickly. I've been playing around with it lately. I have used it to make lenses for model headlights that are not molded in clear and I'm going to see if I could use it as an adhesive for aircraft canopies. I use a small UV flashlight by Dspiae to rapidly cure the resin. 1
CANicoll Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Looks awesome!! Thanks for all of the detailed pictures. Nice work. 2

CP1 Posted July 11, 2024 Author Posted July 11, 2024 So on the last pour in the fountain a large bubble formed which ruined it. I had to replace the fountain. I will start pouring the resin tomorrow. Here’s a photo of the newly painted fountain. The hydrant isn’t glued down. Just seeing where I want it. 2 2
