2025 IPMS convention

Hi everyone, the convention will be held in Hampton Va. this year. The dates are:

August 6-9

I am curious who might be going. It should be a great convention. A lot of history to be seen in the area.

I would LOVE to go this year, but I'm not sure I can afford it. I have always wanted to visit Virginia, so it would be cool to find a way to do it. If I could find someone to share a hotel room with or crash in someone's guest room who lives there, I might look into it. Last year's trip to Madison cost a LOT, and I'm not sure I can swing it two years in a row! BTW, where is it next year?

I've got my hotel and convention reservations all made. So, the wife and I will be there.

2026 is supposed to be in Fort Wayne, IN.

If you're going and have extra time, the Military Aviation Museum, Pungo, VA is a great place to visit. It's not on the convention tours. I was there ~3 years ago. Several of the docents were retired Naval Aviation folks. Impressed the heck out of my retired Navy Chief friend.

It would be great to go but I won't be able to make unfortunately. 

Last year, it was just good timing that I made it to Madison as we were in Chicago already at the time.

I'd much rather visit VA than anything in Indiana, but I may have to wait for that one. Airfare from my neck of the woods is about 1200 bucks per person right now, so with lodging and food, I'd be minimum 2500 if I went alone, not counting all the stuff I would likely buy.....

So highly unlikely this year.
