Here we go with another lump of plastic, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed tanks all those wheels, this will be another out of the box build and I will be attempting the multi tone camo,

Ah seams on aircraft yes I have yet to sort that part of modelling out but promise to have a go sooon, I have a 1/48 Spit. on the way so may try it after this one.

Not much to report this week just had an hour on her tonight, got arms mounted on one side and fittings etc,

 

 

 

had a bad warp in one of the shaped housings at the centre but nothing that cant be sorted,

Got another hour at the bench today, been a struggle with time this week, found masses of etch bolts to be added,

 

 

this looks like a lot of fun! got most of the fittings on the rear hull, more pe.

 

 

 

 

 

next up after the ditching log retaining straps will be all the lovely track links,

Yeah I will be bringing it hopefully I will get a lot more done before then. The Zvezda T90 is excellent I buggered it up and ended up binning it! my in laws arrive from England in a few weeks and modelling will dry up for about two weeks,

I always thought the Zvezda T-90 was awful? Like you, I started it and binned it due to it's too tall errors.

 

I have bought the Meng kit..

Yeah from an accuracy point of view it does suffer but I am on an out the box build run right now so was not too bothered but I buggered it up through my ineptness!!

So a little more done struggling for time recently, decided to leave off the external fuel drums and ditching log just to add a little interest and a lot of the pics. I found showed them not fitted, also added the bolts on the turret bulges,

 

 

 

and started the dreaded track links,

Started to get things gluing again now, not much of an update but I hope to be moving on a bit now,

 

 

 

should get a little more interesting I hope.

Well as I was looking through your posts and great pictures I was thinking I should do a tank until I looked at your track pictures. Good Lord that's a lot of parts and time. So now WW1 planes with wires and tanks with tracks intimate me, lol!!

Comes with track jigs. That's good. Usually have to build my own.

Yeah I found lots of examples with no fuel drums but with the log fitted, still it must happen. like Doogs said the track jigs are nothing to get excited about I will probably do them with out using them. Thanks for the nice comments guys.

Started getting the tracks sorted, did not use the jig as it was easier without got to say the tracks have been great and it has been worth doing all those links, great to be gluing again,

To be honest Steve, those tracks look stunning!!

 

Have you glued them solid or will you leave them "working"?

The tracks are non working they have to be glued but I am going to use a set of Trumpeter workable tracks on my Chally 2, after after seeing how these look I will not use the rubber band style again.

Hooray, finally got some progress on the beast, lots of small fiddly parts but worth it,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

will be able to get some more done tomorrow, paint work on the tracks needs finishing, have to say I deviated from the sequence in the instructions quite a bit.
