BevanBrooks Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Apart from the blatantly obvious, awesome work, the crisp photos are whats drawing me to Ralphs work at the moment. 1
rieser Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 Washes and flat coat on... AK 303 on the under/fuselage sides and light grey; A.MIG-1618 Deep Brown on the green; and A.MIG-1617 Blue Black on the underside grey-violet and the control surface hinge lines. AK 012 smudged about on the undersides. A very thin 1:1 mix of XF-1 Flat Black and XF-10 Flat Brown was sprayed along the fuselage centreline. The same mix was used to beef up the exhaust staining. Some worn-out 1200 grade Wet & Dry sandpaper was then scuffed over the high points in the stain area. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Ralph. 5
BevanBrooks Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Cracker stuff. Love those exhaust stains.
JG26 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Nice and gungy. The fuselage rivetting certainly pops now- especially on the reich's defence bands. Regards, Dan M
rieser Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 "... that'll do time"... Quickboost's QB 32012 sprayed with Model Master Burnt Steel Buffing Metalizer and washed with Vallejo 70826 German Cam. Medium Brown. Thanks for following along. Cheers, Ralph. 6
JG26 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Wünderbar! What a way to finish off the year. Excellent photos too as always Ralph, the white backgrounds really make this particular bird "pop". Regards, Dan M 1
