Just joined this forum. Great modellers as I could see in several topics. I built this kit back in Dec 2013. The subject is based on Eagle Cals depicting the number 1 of Erich Hartmann with a little red colour number 2 inside. The reference indicates that this might have been the backup aircraft of Erich Hartmann in which he achieved his victory number 250th. Special characteristic of this scheme is the mottling over the wings and HStab. I based this on what Eagle Cals is depicting, as there are no pictures available of the real aircraft, other modeller could have interpreted this scheme in a different way. That is the way I wanted to represent it and I'm pretty happy with the result. I only added a few aftermarket items as the cockpit is already of a very good detail: MDC wheels MDC Dials Injected Harnesses from Finemolds. EagleCals EC#132 First profile on top.
