Michaelscarborough
I plan to create a diorama which will feature the WnW Roland Walfisch kit and the Aviattic Marienfelde Lorry. It will be inspired by, not a copy of, the famous photo of the Roland fuselage in the back of the lorry surrounded by grinning Germans...and it will a have a bit of a twist. Neither kit is started yet. For some reason, LSM doesn't like the photo I am trying to bring over from Photo Bucket but I will get it here eventually. krow113
Ya we're gonna need those pix! Is the subject pic in the WNW Roland instructions? I seem to remember that.
Administrators Fran Posted June 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 13, 2016 Michael looking forward to see this!! The Photobucket LSM problem is solved? Fran
Michaelscarborough
OK...problem solved! The plan is to use this iconic photo as an inspiration but, instead of having all these boys looking at a camera, have them looking at something else which has attracted their attention. I will let you gents figure that one out. I have the WnW kit now and will be ordering the Lorry from Aviattic later this week. I'm very happy to be part of this GB. Michaelscarborough
Sorry to say that due to my inability to get the Marienfelde model, this diorama is being scrapped. But, I have another planned....... Cheers from NYC, MIchael
krow113
All is not lost , there is a plethora of marienfelds in the contest , this is reason enough to try a different route. http://www.ebay.com/itm/291854052253?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I daresay one of those would be a suitable replacement. Michaelscarborough
Amen to that...it may be a blessing in disguise. As you say, that Marienfelde kit is well represented. I have both the wonderful lorry from Tommy's War and the ambulance from Resicast. So....let me get the After the Armistice diorama finished and we'll see where the inspiration leads me.
