[CAT]CplSlade
I agree; most every pic I've seen the tools look relatively dark rather than bright. Plus if they aren't coated to begin with, they tarnish pretty quickly from use as anyone who owns a steel shovel can attest to. This can easily be addressed even with the track guards attached, as that is the stupid way I do it all the time. It's the 'harder, not smarter' approach for me, matey.
Rodolfo Torres Vazquez
Thanks for your comments and observations friends!. A few ago minutes I changed the color, now I am working the weathering. Regards! Rodolfo
[CAT]CplSlade
That's one of the beauties of kits: If something doesn't seem quite right, there isn't really anything stopping you from going back and touching it up or even doing it over. It just depends on how bold you are. I'm sure some of us have something we've popped a little extra paint on months after we thought it was done; I have some armor I went back and refined the overspray left by my earlier, cheaper airbrush. Might even throw whitewash on a few this winter, who knows? I'd do it to my aircraft if they didn't have all those stupid pitot tubes, antenna, radar, and other idiocy sticking out all over and breaking off if you stare at it too hard on them.
Rodolfo Torres Vazquez
Hello friends! I finished my project; for weathering I used Humbrol paints, white and dark-earth, added a Panzer Commander, you can see my work at: https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/6680-stug-iii-ausf-f-sdkfz-1421-135-dragon/ Regards!
