petr@specialhobby Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Hello, this is to be our another 1/32 scale new model. As you probably already know, there will be not only the Mk.V version, but also the Mk.II radial engined one and Mk.VI as well. Quite a big plane, and a nice one, isn´t it? Box-art shows machine of NZ pilot, S/L Warren "Smokey" Schrader, DFC and Bar, an ace with 9 1/2 kills, most of them gained in the cockpit of this very machine. 2
Administrators James H Posted May 21, 2013 Administrators Posted May 21, 2013 Oh lord! Died and gone to heaven. The Mk.II is the one I'd go for. 1
Wingco57 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 I want them both, would look great next to the Sea-Fury, Cees

nmayhew Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Petr, Thank you for these images. For our members not entirely familiar with your range, could you confirm whether the Tempest is standard injection mould, short-run injection mould or resin, and whether items like cockpit or wheels, exhausts etc will be in resin? Many thanks once again. Nick
petr@specialhobby Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 Petr, Thank you for these images. For our members not entirely familiar with your range, could you confirm whether the Tempest is standard injection mould, short-run injection mould or resin, and whether items like cockpit or wheels, exhausts etc will be in resin? Many thanks once again. Nick Hello Nick, Short run injected will be only the main parts, i.e. fuselage halves, wing parts and tailplanes. All the rest is to be injected into metal moulds, the canopy will be also made from met. moulds and the kit will contain also vacuformed clear canopy. You´ll get two types of wheels from plastic, and another pair will be mad of resin and sold as a separate set. 1
petr@specialhobby Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 And I can bring you today also some new photographs and images of the Tempest model. So, here are first photos of the plane´s nose section: Different nose piece for the Mk.II version: Some bombs and racks plus gunsights: 1
petr@specialhobby Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 Probably the definitive form of the cockpit parts:
