  1. Dynamite progress John. "Keep -a-dancin'!"
  2. Confirms others' experiences/observations. They do look the business. Shame about the Australian dollar exchange rate!
  3. Tried AK Interactive's "Ultra Matte Varnish" for the first time. Pics really taken to look for shiny spots/ decal carrier film... 3:1 mix of varnish to AK thinner. Sprayed well. No tip clogging. Shows promise... Beading wire for the coiled steel rope, and some leftover 48th scale Tamiya AFV kit string and ends for the tow cable.
  4. Hat off Jeroen for your enthusiasm to play outside the Tamigawa sand pit! Solid results. Respect!
  5. Eric: I bought a single length set from Hobby Boss but found it very frustrating to work with - so gave up. I hope the AFV Club set you have will be better - and even better than the AFV Club rubber bands. Cheers, Ralph.
  6. A bit more... Tamiya's rubber band tracks. A tad too much tension. So much so that it distorts the "connecting link". AFV Club's rubber band tracks. Different style and two links longer. Vallejo washes. Superglued to wheels. Might still be able to tighten the sit around the last wheel.
  7. A.MIG-1608 PLW Deep Brown followed by 1:1 X-22Clear Gloss:XF-86 Flat Clear "satin" for oil experiments. Kit decal carrier film step visible - might disappear under flat coat. Bought a set of Hobby Boss individual track links but gave up after trying to assemble three. Kit rubber bands primed in generic dark grey-brown; pads painted black; edges drybrushed with Citadel Boltgun Metal; washed with assorted Vallejo colours.
  8. Going well. Nachtjager just around the corner.
  9. Tamiya's 20 year old kit for a bit of fun... Kit decals. Bright and thick, but should look ok when flat-coated... Running gear next...
  10. Great to see your progress. Can't help with the canister colour.
  11. Tempting... very, very tempting...
  12. Great stuff Mish. Would like to see more of the 32nd-35th scale helicopter kits built. Cheers, Ralph.
  13. Time indeed to button her up John. She'll start to grow pretty quickly. Cheers, Ralph.
  14. Great progress John. Looks like the pig is getting a good kicking. Cheers, Ralph.
  15. Always offering us something different Marcel. I hope your nerves have recovered! Cheers, Ralph.
  16. Don't they just light up once the markings start going on. Looking great Jeroen. The trolley's a little ripper too.Cheers, Ralph.
  17. Build thread and more "finished" pics in the Spitfire GB section... http://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/3489-132-tamiya-spirfire-mkxvie-no-601-county-of-london-squadron-rauxf-1949/page-1
  18. Don't expect to see too many of those built. Solid effort! Close to the home stretch now.
  19. Yep - looks pretty good from here. Beaut stuff.
  20. Enjoying this project very much.
  21. Beaut progress Mike. I like the look of the Mr Colour colours. Pretty colourful scheme all round. Almost ready for Messer-Monday??!! Cheers, Ralph.
  22. Great to see some light-hearted hobby-ing. "Achtung Rudi! Bring on the Bavarian Bier!!
  23. Sensational!!
  24. Great scheme John - love that pic. Topside day colours and black undersides should make for an eye-catching combination. I found the cabin area of the fuselage to be somewhat flexible once the wings were attached. I think that's why mine has no main wing dihedral at all. Looking forward to watching this one come to life. Cheers, Ralph.
  25. Good to see some bench action again Jeroen. Keep pushing! Cheers, Ralph.
