I completely agree, I've always felt that a 1/32 Mosquito could be the perfect centerpiece for an evened-out 1/32 collection. Interestingly, and this may be the only time I'd ever ask for this, I really want a 1/144 mosquito because I'm working on a 1/144 U-Boat that was sunk by 4 mossies, and I think the display would be really badass to have the mossies in scale next to the U-Boat.

From the looks of it, the Mosquito edges out the B-25 in terms of size. That is crazy-big!

Great build! I love two-seaters, and this one is pretty unique. I've got the Eduard I-16 over Spain combo, I originally wanted to build it for the "In Foreign Colours" GB, but time didn't permit that to happen. The plan now is to make them in May or June. This inspires me!

Cool! I love history, never had enough of a knack for it to major in it, but I think that history is one of the main reasons I love model building.

Haha, I could tell the manufacturer because of the markings and the panel lines. The panel lines are raised on the Monogram kit and I'd recognize the decals (41 on the nose, the girl riding the bomb) anywhere because I basically sleep next to the model every night (the shelf is next to my bed).

I especially like the Monogram P-40, which was the first model I ever built. It still sits proudly on my shelf, haha.

I like the idea of them all facing down like that, cool way to display them.

I love that underside, especially when you're looking at the other pics and then the last one sort of sneaks up on you, haha.

Your post reminds me of the great times I had building model ships with my dad. What a great way to remember him. Such an awesome build turned out so well! From a technical standpoint, I don't know that I've ever seen someone get the wing alignment (as seen in the 6th picture) as symmetrical and perfect as you have. VERY well done! As I said on SPAR, I hope that my attempt at this looks a fraction as good as this one! Do you have any plans for future WNW builds?

Wow, that looks like an amazing kit every time I see sprue shots of it. Great review. So the reviews posted here are not clones from SPAR? Are the review on SPAR going to be about the things that aren't for LSM? Just wondering.

This is a build that was actually started in December but never appeared on SPAR. I have been working on this one for a Steel Cats GB on Finescale, but the deadline for that one is April 1 and I'd rather not rush to crank this out over my upcoming spring break. Actually, this build was the last thing I was working on over there, so I may not be returning anymore. But anyways, I thought I'd start a fresh thread here where the cool modelers hang out, haha. First, an introduction. The tank is a Panther G in Italy, with the focus of interest being the add-on armor. I got the kit really cheap at a sale at my LHS, and I opened it not knowing what to expect. Essentially, it's the crispest model I've ever seen! The detail is superb, and so far, every bit of fitting and gluing has been flawless. I read a detailed review/analysis of the kit, and found out that the specific tank that I'm building did not have Zimmerit, but had more armor than the kit offers. The kit gives some very nicely detailed armor for the turret, but apparently the actual tank also had some engine armor as well. To supplement the kit, I found Alliance Model Works' armor set, and it definitely should look the part. The only other real flaw with the kit is that lack of an anti-aircraft MG up-top, though the arm that would hold one is included in the kit. I found a MG 34 resin set from TANK, and I gotta say, the casting is beautiful. I'm really looking forward to painting it and showing it off on top of my model. Up to this point, I don;t have a ton of work done on it, but the complex suspension was a job in itself. Here are the pics I've got so far, and I hope to work on it sometime this month, so hopefully I'll have an update sometime soon, though I can't promise anything. Either way, thanks for looking! And this is the set of cleaned-up wheels, another job in itself, haha. The second picture is a test fit, so they don't look straight for a reason.

I'm soooo happy to see that this topic was resurrected! I love getting updates on this stuff from everybody. My model purchases have been non-existent this last month, so I don't have anything cool to post, but I like having a place to show off whenever I do get something, haha.

So happy to see that this made it over! I'm really excited to see future updates on this one, really stunning build so far!
