  1. Thanks Gaz. I hope to finish it up in a day or two.
  2. LOL Rob. I think it depends on the a/c the paint is on. The 3-tone fits the Ventura just right while the GSB fits the Corsair just right. On the other hand, the Hellcat and Wildcat look good in either. Just my humble opinion.
  3. Thank you Peter. It won't be long before this one goes in the "done" column.
  4. Painting done. Next is a bit of weathering.
  5. Thanks! This is such a easy kit to build it just doesn't take a lot of time to get it done. The main "time consumer" has been the new nacelles. Right now the underside white and intermediate blue sides are done.
  6. A really nice build Rob! I like it! I too have some HGW decals and will probably use some of them at some point but the info you provide here shows how "iffy" they can be. Keep up the good work!!!
  7. Thank you Ernie! I agree 100%. The cowlings "make" the model and the tri-color paint job should really finish it off! 😀
  8. Thank you Rob! Won't be long before I can get started on painting. I look forward to it! That tri-color scheme fits this a/c perfectly.
  9. Thanks Gaz (I think! LOL). No, no foil.
  10. Yes indeed Peter. Easy peasy. LOL
  11. It's coming right along. Easy build, etc.
  12. Thank you Peter. Vector makes some nice stuff.
  13. Thank you Harv. Turned out pretty well.
  14. Cowlings attached! Not bad!
  15. I just wish the rivet detail wasn't so heavy. Other than that it looks pretty good. We will see when I get around to building it.
  16. After shooting some gray primer I found a few areas that need a bit more attention. I did test fit the engines and cowlings and the fit seems okay. I have to credit that to Vector's good work. I should have the engines and cowlings installed soon.
  17. I know what you mean Peter. That's my favorite part of a build.
  18. About ready to attach the engines and nacelles. First I'll shoot a primer and see if any more work is needed.
  19. Coming along nicely Peter.
  20. I think the scheme looks good too Peter. Ve vill see! LOL
  21. Seems to be a very straight forward kit with things fitting well (so far). Looks like it won't take a long time to get it built and painted. I look forward to the painting on this one in the 3-tone scheme.
