  1. Coming along. A fair amount of sanding and puttying is needed.
  2. Thank you! 🙂
  3. I figured the time was right to get back on this one. It's been sitting partially done for quite a while. 🙂
  4. I've stayed holed up in my house since Saturday trying to stay warm. Good "model building" weather and fortunately the power has stayed on. I was really sweating that out! The low last night was supposed to be 10 degrees but it's warming up to the 40's this afternoon. I've built 2 Skyraiders, both ZM, and they turned out nice.
  5. I've had this kit for a good while and have worked on it some from time to time. I decided to re-start it and hopefully finish the build this time. It's a good kit even with the raised panel lines.
  6. The main problems so far were nearly everything on the engine. Lots of fitting and re-fitting and never getting anything, especially the exhausts, to fit. The cockpit, etc was ok. I didn't want to keep fighting the engine assembly so it was to the SOD. Kids love snow for sure.
  7. I'll be glad when it's all gone Kevin! LOL I may get back on the Skyraider at some point but for now it'll stay on the SOD.
  8. I pulled this one off the shelf just to have something to stay busy with during the current weather of snow/ice/sleet. Most things here have come to a screeching halt due to the weather. I have a large accumulation on my property and it's COLD (forecast low tonight 7 degrees). Uh oh!!! ðŸĪŠ I'm finding too many fit problems and I don't need the headache! SOD time. I'll find something else to work on.
  9. LOL Thank you Martin. I'm pleased that you like it! 🙂
  10. Thank you Kevin. Very much appreciated. I wish I had thought to remove the little nav light recesses below the cockpit. Too late now!
  11. All done. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20951-hasegawa-rnzaf-kittyhawk-p-40k-15-done/
  12. Finished with this one. Painted with Tamiya acrylics. Decals are from the kit and my decal stash. I'm glad to be finished with it. I hope you like it.
  13. I see it now Kevin, thanks.
  14. Touch-up? Where Kevin? I intend to leave it like it is as I don't see any need for any touch-up. 🙄 What am I missing?
  15. Camo done! 🙂Still a long way to go though.
  16. A little different this time. 🙂
  17. About ready for the camo! 🙂
  18. Thanks Kevin. I sometimes get tired of a build too but I hate to "push on" as that's a recipe for screwing up. I screw up enough anyway!!!! LOL I still like your build and think it turned out just fine. 🙂
  19. This one is up next. I found these colorized photos on line and decided, even though they are colorized and the colors MIGHT not be accurate, this will be my next build. I like the looks of the Green/Grey camo on these a/c and decided that would be a nice change from the OD or Brown/Tan we usually see.
  20. Sure would add a lot of nice detail. 🙂
  21. Thanks Martin! I'm glad you like it. 🙂
  22. All done: https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20942-monogram-148-f9f-5-the-bridges-at-toko-ricompleted/
  23. Ready for perusal. This is the OLD Monogram kit that has been in my stash for YEARS. Finally decided to build it. A easy build with few problems. The only after market stuff is the belts which I scrounged from my PE seat belt stash. Painted with MCW GSB enamel, Alclad Duraluminum, and Testor's. Markings are from Repli-Scale and Super Scale. I added BB's in the nose section so it wouldn't be a tail sitter. I hope you like it (I do!). PS- I broke the gun barrels off early on and forgot to replace them when I took some of the photos. At any rate, they are in place now.
  24. Well hell. No one is interested so I'm KEEPING IT!
  25. Thank you! Yes, it is a big 'un! 🙂
