  1. Thanks guys. It's coming right along.
  2. It's part of the resin. Not bad at all in my opinion.
  3. Got some of the resin interior pieces done. I still have to add the throttle and other bits but at least there is some progress.
  4. Yep, that's a good start. Not a bad kit and not too many headaches.
  5. Glad you are here Harv!
  6. Gonna be a beauty Peter!
  7. Seems to be a good one Mike. I'm still undecided of which a/c it will depict. Three tone for sure though.
  8. Thanks Peter. Sure am glad you are here!! John
  9. It seems to be one of their better kits. Fairly large too. The interior is nice but the Black Box set is MUCH nicer but retails at $60.00. I found it on ebay for $24.95 with free shipping which I jumped on! LOL
  10. I now have a set ordered. Thanks Dave!
  11. I'm happy to see you here Peter! John
  12. Thanks Mike and James! Congrats Peter!
  13. I'm just wondering if it's normal for a membership approval to take a while. A good friend of mine, Peter Wellstein, sent in his request 4 days ago and hasn't heard back. Is this normal or has there been a glitch? I know he's ready and waiting and a VERY good model builder. Thanks!!!! John
  14. Thanks Dave! I had no idea these were available.
  15. I really lucked out on the resin set and got it for $25.00 and free shipping. It looks like I'll have to live with the rubber tires. Too bad P-51, Bf-109 etc tires won't work as there are more after market sets of those than a dog has fleas. Oh well.
  16. Getting started on this one. As with the SBD it is one of their better kits. I'll be using the VERY nice Black Box resin cockpit set which should really dress up the interior. Not quite certain of which particular a/c it will represent but I'm leaning toward a 3-tone Enterprise bird. We'll see. Sure would like to have some nice plastic or resin wheels to replace the kit rubber ones.
  17. Very nice Spitfire build. Great weathering!
  18. Thanks Mike. It's too bad some of the other Trumpeter kits aren't as good. I was pleased with the fit, etc.
  19. Thank you! Very glad to be here.
  20. I'm glad you are here Ernie! Peter says he will be coming over also.
  21. Thank you! I hope to have some nice builds as time goes on.
  22. Hello folks. I joined LSM a good while back but haven't been active for a long time. I intend to remedy that now. 1/32 military a/c, mostly WW II, is my main area of interest. See you in the Forums! John
  23. Thanks. I thought that would be a nice addition.
  24. Thank you. I should mention that the wheels are from a old Matchbox SBD I built many years ago. The kit wheels/tires are way too thin. I added a chart I printed out on my computer for the pull out chart board. The seat belts are from Eduard. The rear pit guns are brass.
