Bit of progress . Big chunk of plastic with 90% good fit makes for a quick build . Tamiyas F14 it is not. PeterTrump throws random PE to make it seem better than it is , but is only on par with Academy efforts . This one is all about the paint I think . Hoping they've made the wheelgear strong enough \

For which I have a set of decals ....hmmm....

Whats better than one Lightning? .....this one I made over 10 years ago , F2a of 92 Sdn On the left F2a has the later kinked wing of the F6s , F3 right has the earlier straight F1 wing ....

Started for the Twins GB. (Build Log here ) & lost my way a bit , so shelved it until more mojo came back as this is one for my shelf, and my fave aircraft so it had to be an effort I was happy with . My first build this tooling was in 1998 . Back then it seemed awesome and is still probably one of Airfixes better releases of all time IMHO . I've built the same kit 4 times since , these days..... it's feels a bit old ...cockpit is crude , weapons a bit 1990ish . Maybe Eduard could make a new tool .....? Czech Master full cockpit , and old Airwaves metal ladder , lashings of alclad and other metallics, 20 year old decals that were fine and in the bestest scheme ever ....111 Sdn "the tremblers" with that awesome black livery and lightning flash . Thoroughly recommend this kit from Eduard, it was a sheer delight to build . Model Mission paints , mostly OOB apart from mg barrels replaced with brass stock . Two 190's this year , enjoyed them both .

Flat clear , maybe with 3% earth brown to give a faded frosty look . I do similar on vehicle windscreens for that minging look You'll only get one chance though .

I'm pretty robust , lay on Macduff as the bard said ! My 'blue' cockpit has come out looking grey in those pix in case that's concerning 🤣

Indeed - their Flogger G ....G is for 'Guy'... ? Resin goodies is just putting lipstick on a pig for me, as this is ; build it , photo it ..and...... er ...sell it . It was a random wine fueled late night bargain probably ..... Given current unlove of all things Russian , it probs won't have a high demand/sale value , so ......just the box......... and nothing but what's in the box I'll hopefully make it look typically Soviet unmaintained to bits though.

Usual Trumpy fair ...ok ish fit ...probably made up details ...just fancied making one . I remember building the Airflups one in braille when it was released in 1980 .TBh given it was Soviet, and the Cold War was on , that was most likely a lot of guesswork too. Not invested wildly in this one , so will be oob . The wings Schwing !!!!
