  1. Outstanding build of a graceful aircraft .
  2. Salisbury Plain Training Area SPTA , near me , has lots of rough roads open to traffic provided the red training flags are not up . You do need a GPS though as there are lots of tracks not open, and straying off the road is a serious no no , as is camping in the area, as most of the training takes place at night. There is an old hard target area , and"German Village" a FIBUA base , if ya like that sort of stuff
  3. That is the right answer, real world you'd cut back the panels and roll the edges over . It's just thin ally sheet , nothing substantial behind . I....er....may have had a few too many frame LRs in my time 🫣 although these days just have a Freeloader . There's a funny story behind this picture but one for another day ...
  4. soooooo.......Are you hands that small .......or is that the 109 in your back yard ? Fess Up ! & Fuse done ........can I suggest some muzak ? Cracking tune
  5. Final Medicine Man exercise using Chieftain took place in 1993 , after that a lot of the old Chieftains became hard targets as Challenger took over. Suffield's just down the road from you I believe Martin ? Although I think we've cleared most of the armour out last year.
  6. Looks Pukka ! Nice bit of scratch building there & quite a bit different to the E's I've built .
  7. LS swapping a 110 love it !
  8. Nice.one.....Friuls and pins work eh ? Better than the wire they supply What the story with the camo pattern , unusual for a Pantherer ?
  9. Only one of two flying & what a beauty . I personally would give my left nut to be the back seater for 20 minutes.
  10. The scratching is upsetting you ? Thin plasticard ? The fuse box looks great 😊
  11. Same deal here , I use low power prescription reading glasses but they are no use for close up work . Splash out $3 at your local drugstore & see whatcha think? I generally get silly colours so I don't accidentally take them out the study https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223146769624?var=524814349880 My mum put me on to them a few years ago bless her .
  12. I use Cheapo x4 reading specs which I find are cheap and disposable as I don’t like optivisors 👍
  13. Tool upgrades ... Been buying electronics grade tools instead of model quality ones . Tweezers , top four are all for circuit boards , note how are substantial they are than my old Tamiya ones , more heft = more control . Knives Nearly always use scalpel blades, so the "generic" rubber handled knife I've had a few off , also the Xacto, but now I have an OLFA 9mm knife as well which is very sharp and should cut things like plastic sheet without dramas. Finally nippers , been using the standard flat ones for years ,so have got though a few pairs over time Upgraded to a 'Japan Engineer' set of micro cutters; again for electronics , far more substantial , again very sharp and precise and with a smaller head. None of these cost an arm and a leg , and I suspect will outlast "model shop" versions . & if you know who AvE is , yes I like Japanese quality tools too , if the tool brings you joy, the work brings happiness .
