Drilling out fruil tracks 😀😀😀😀yes i know that one well BTW Paul I saw a tutorial a while ago about using very small dress makers pins instead of the brass wire , which is what I do these days with those tracks…makes them a lot more sturdy when you are done

I've only had a little play , seems ok to me . Solid in construction even though t must be 15 years old . Bit like the DeWalt/ Makita power tool dichotomy .....I have the Proxxon drill and transformer so went that direction 😀 ...oh and the hot wire table ....see these obsessions breed. ..and I'd buy German over Chinese tools most days of the week .

I admire your dedication to the detail , that lil destroyer I did a couple of years ago I did as a tip my toe in the water with 1/350 drove me nutz....the full Hood is a long way off which I feel may have to wait until I retire 😀 -

Not so much whats on the bench but the bench itself after a bit of a re org with new shelves adding valuable real estate. Paint and tools are all in the drawers , stash and completed are elsewhere . 72 inches of workbench and thats it , so stuff that doesn't turn out helpful isn't kept around . My office doubles up for working from home as well as glueing plastic together . Just need a friendly cat to keep me company like Carl . -
Wowsers , yes had me fooled into thinking you interspersed real with scale photos 😀 You may have come across this website before , it's written by a German pilot, Hubert , who flew them from the start of the program , fascinating stuff. https://www.916-starfighter.de DC+107. https://www.916-starfighter.de/Large/dc107.htm

Tis sad ...realised recently it is nearly 10 years since Lemmy departed. he came to my home town in the mid 80s after Sabbath . The local council and newsrag whined about his bat biting and lasers and refused to liscence the gig . Sadly he never came back . -

New Cat Carl or new bench companion ? I've picked back up this ICM Ju88 from the SOD . I don't get on with ICM kits, dunno why , moldings are good , fit is generally ok , but something about their engineering doesn't click with me . Which is a shame, as I'm sure it's just me . I binned their 1/48 HS 126 a while ago , with the faff the wing caused me, just terminal loss of interest . Finally got this into initial primer , should be on a downwards slope to a completion hopefully -

I may adjust 🤨 Fun fact about the film , all the Germans were played by German actors apart from Robert Shaw …who absolutely wasn’t based on Joachim Peiper …honest -
After the RAF turned Tirpitz into a submarine , the ship's aircraft and other 196s were run to death as hacks, finally mostly being grounded for lack of spares . After cursory examination by the Norwegians after the war , considered obsolete and worn out , they were towed out in Trondheim Fjord and sunk in Sept 45. Ones still there 55m down . This was just a paint mule to try out odourless thinner chipping with Atom paints in all honesty , as I hate braille scale . The kit is ...so so for the size, probably not much better than the ancient Airflups thing . Laterz PW

Yeah yeah yeah tell me how bad the 1965 film was, but aged 10 it sparked a lifelong interest in the battle, many trips and many hours of research later . The film is terrible , it was only luck they had snow in the early part of the filming to make it vaguely look like the Ardennes So , Takom M47 , resin figure , just a bit of fun for me . Laterz PW
