  1. Sorry Paul , went to pull out some chrome sprue from the one kit I thought would have it .....and it didn't have any Meanwhile a rant from one of my fave bloggers .....woh probably influenced ICM not to chrome plastic . https://theimperfectmodeller.com/rants/please-stop-chroming/
  2. Alclad is one I would suggest , but might be tricky spraying over chrome directly as they are fragile i have moved more towards Mr Color Supermettallics 2 range, Fine Silver would give you a close result . More robust as well both have very small pigments I have probably got some chromed sprue , give me a day and I could have a play and post the result ?
  3. Saw them for sale in Jadlam UK today.......... huge box... but......... £160???????? .....honestly ????.....feck that for a box of plastic ....I've bought roadworthy cars for less. I wonder how many will be bought and never finished , traded endlessly 'unstarted' on eBay ....less is more sometimes IMHO . Still if it floats yer boat who am I to naysay ?
  4. @Martinnfb Just wait and see....if it works out........ it will appear in the RFI if it doesn't......... we will not mention it again . Anyhoo , having been shamed by my tawdry research 🤢 , clearly the only option was to rush down to the Helicopter Museum in Zommerzet today and take some pics. ( Yes...... I know it's an H and not a B ...they had sold out B's last week ....ok ?????😔) I can see looking at a real one why the Trumpy one was mocked for its sunken rivets ....it's a very basic fail there . So cute and smiley Chrome door handle call outs are correct though \ This one is a Vietnam Vet .
  5. Mostly exterior shots, trying to shoot through pexliglass indoors didn't produce many good cockpit pix. Link to Gallery Museum is built on the site of an old Factory/ Airfield that built a lot a Beaufighters in the war https://helimuseum.com/fleet.php
  6. It’s already got a little ‘extra’ on the way from the land of infernal communism😀

  8. Moving on ..decals ....boring ..... trump's were ok no silvering despite the large size. Meanwhile hippies are freekin out back at home .. ..gotta love the Elevators ...
  9. I think thats more an age thing , having been raised on a lot of Vietnam films in the late 70's and 80's. when the war had only been over a few years ....pretty sure 20/30 year olds don't make the same association ? Solid tune choice BTW !
  10. Done a bit more ... All the do dabs and whatchamathingies on Using Tamiya paints for a change , heavy chipping not gonna be a thing on this one Lawks it's big....I'm so used to 1:48 , LSM aircraft catches me out All a bit drab now but once the markings are down ... I'm keeping the skids off till the end as they look flimsy . Laterz PW
  11. The colours look on point for post war RAF to me , the DSG and EDSG are tricky as contemporary colour pics tend to show them more blue than they are, but thats more down to the film at the time .
  12. Meanwhile in the US ..
  13. This sums up Mrs Womble perfectly ....

  15. Nice nose job, can't see the join Glad you had success with lifecolor paint, they never worked well for me , couldn't get a thinning ratio I was happy with .
  16. Love Hunters , thats turning out nicely Kevin
