  1. Testing out bits. Ammo boxes, spare wheel, tow bar, water, fuel, tow shackle, mud scrapers, oil spill buckets and smoke granade containers.
  2. Lots of small parts finished.
  3. Yes. True. With car build colors have to be immaculate, because there is no weathering.
  4. Thanks Rob🙂 I paint in sequences, because that's how my brain works😄. I have some idea how tracks and wheels would be like. Then i test out colors. If they work then i can experiment on other parts. It is easier to mess up wheels than whole lower/upper structure. Slat armor idea came up when i was outside in nature. What is your thought process when deciding color scheme/weathering?
  5. Have you acquired reference materials? If not i recommend Ammo mig M1A2 SEP in detail book. It is the best when it comes to small details.
  6. I would recommed using MASTON PLASTIC primer with this product. It makes painting the main color easier.
  7. From a rattle can. For first i used TS-46 light sand. But this is quite expensive and only 100 ml net volume. I used one can to suspension arms and wheels. I calculated that i would buy 4-5 more of these😬. I noticed one automotive paint called maston camouflage ral 1001 beige ultra matt. It is almost same color. 95% people wouldn't know the difference if they saw colors side by side🧐. This cost much less and it is 400 ml net volume. Sprays better and do not smell as bad.
  8. I am making new "slat armor" to engine exhaust. Stock parts are too thick. I used brass sheet and tamiya plastic rod and super glue. This is not gonna be the most beautiful part. Pro builder would have used solder and brass pipe + jig. But then again real pictures show that this part gets easily damaged anyway.
  9. Another cool idea was to glue one small piece from every box art and create collage...I might do that for the sides🧐
  10. Lots of detail was missing in this box. Added meng nuts and bolts.
  11. Got this ikea moppe box from my spouse. I used abrams box art to cover this unpainted plain looking box. And that handle came from that same 1/16 abrams box too😄. Just need to attach it.
  12. Thanks for info. I will look into it.
  13. Really good fit. Instructions wants you glue exhaust last. That not true. You can glue back half first.
  14. Yes. You are absolutely right. Top half will cover most of the tracks. So no need for adjustment.
  15. Test fitting tracks. Maybe too loose? And needs more dust effect. 🧐
  16. Or this way one can repair if track pin is damaged in box. There were few track pins which were seriously warped, lyckily not broken.
  17. Most of tracks weathered and varnish on. I made one track pin removable for easier removal if necessary.
  18. Looking really good. a blank canvas for weathering🙂👍
  19. 😃Merry Christmas!
  20. Merry Christmas to all🎅!
  21. Thank you for kind words 🙂. I will try to treat every piece and panel as separate item for weathering. Hopefully I can continue this soon. Merry Christmas to you🎅.
