A friend collects 1/72 die cast models but apparently has not been able to find a 1/72 B-52. I see Italeri (AMT) and ModelCollect both do models in this scale.  The ModelCollect kit did not get good review from Brett Green, while the Italeri/AMT seems to be ok, but is missing the classic B-52 wing droop.

Anyone have any experience with either kit, or others that I may have missed?  This would be an 'in-flight' display bird.

Thanks,

Chris

Ha!!  Scott, excellent question.  So of course, the first thing I did was to search for pics of the plane in flight.  Nope, I don't think they are drooping...

There is a nice build online of the Model collection B-52G, it turns into a decent kit if you're not too picky on specifics. I've started one as well, but got bogged down in weapons selections...

Winnie, thanks and good to know.  Not sure how detailed my friend is when it comes to the specifics.  Good luck on finishing your build.

Quite the contrary … in loaded flight, they are flexing up.

I have no idea why I said drooping in flight.  🤪
