TJTX Posted December 14, 2024 Author Posted December 14, 2024 Bandit Resin pods have some paint. Forgot I don't have any decal solution right now so decals have to wait. Also got all other underwing stores ready for paint. Still piddling on the main aircraft components waiting for some new primer for the gear. 10

TJTX Posted December 18, 2024 Author Posted December 18, 2024 Not much to report that really shows, but making good progress just cutting, gluing, and prepping for paint. Finally got all my tools repurchased and I'm set to work normally again. I have a few more days off before it's back to the cockpit to earn some "dollar bucks" for you fellas with a Bluey fan as a kiddo. Hopefully I can prime some of this before I do head back. 8
Martinnfb Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Slowly but surely, looking good Tony. Cheers Martin 3
TJTX Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 Slow and steady. Been watching the kiddo while the wife works these last fee days so very little airbrushing. Mostly constructing pieces for paint later. Seat and cockpit ready for paint and Quinta interior. Gear has hopefully final coating of white on it. Drop tanks are mostly done, just need another misting of grey to tone down a few places. Primed the tail and horizontal stabilizers. Seems like little progress but it's all a step in the right direction. 8
TJTX Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Work is progressing one bit at a time. Got a lot more primer down and I was able to get the primary colors down on the tail. Green is washed out a bit in the photo. After it dries I'll add a wash. 7 1

GusMac Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I've only used MRP for the first time on my last two builds and I'd agree that it's definitely now my favourite. No thinning, easy to use and a bombproof finish that can be masked quickly without any lifting etc. AND the smell isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. 2
TJTX Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 I've noticed they're thinner that what I was used to and I really have to build up the color. However, the paint ends up so smooth and as you said, hard as a rock. 2
TJTX Posted Thursday at 02:41 AM Author Posted Thursday at 02:41 AM Got some of the Quinta reinforcement plates down. Very very fiddle especially fighting with CA too. Chipped the front of the right wing one, so I have to back fill and smooth with Mr. Surfacer. Got another busy week of trips then 4 days to hopefully paint the cockpit. I do have a lot of little progress pieces. Just waiting for them all to get to the point where it jumps together and starts to look like something solid. 4
