Landlubber Mike Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I have two of the Pro Modeler kits in the stash. If you and @Martinnfb are up for it, maybe we can do a 410 buddy build? 3
Martinnfb Posted April 18 Posted April 18 That would be cool, I ordered a big decal sheet with a large number of schemes. Can share 3
Landlubber Mike Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I had picked up two of the kits with a ton of AM. I ending up selling my HpH 1/32 kit since I had two of the PM kits and it's awfully big in 1/32. There are so many interesting variants that you can build. I have the Xtradecal X48185, Aeromaster 48-354 and Aeromaster 48-359 decal sets. I was thinking about doing one as an A-1 and the second as a B2/U4 for the 5cm Bordkanone. 2
KevinM Posted Saturday at 01:25 PM Author Posted Saturday at 01:25 PM I pulled out mt Revell kit last night and does the Meng have many similarities with the canopy being identical. 2 1

KevinM Posted Monday at 10:34 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:34 PM Alright I laid down a tamyia black panel wash.then Florys Sand all covered by Alcad semi clear. The sand looks better in person than in the pics esp. along the fuse giving it a depth look probably be best outside but 100% overcast today. 5
DocRob Posted Tuesday at 08:34 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:34 AM Beautiful result, Kevin. The sleek Hornisse looks great with your finishing touches. Cheers Rob 1 1

Cheers Rob Thanks Rob the canopy is the only downfall for me on the build the plastic glues just would not bite I give the Canopy grade 80%.The Revell kit most of has the plastic may be softer unlike the very hard that Meng used and glue up better.I got to ask are we going to do a little mini Grupe build of the 210/410?enquiring minds want to know? 2
Martinnfb Posted Tuesday at 02:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:13 PM Nicely done Kevin. As of the 210/410 buddy build, why not? I think so far it’s you, me and Mike. Maybe Rob 1
KevinM Posted Tuesday at 02:27 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 02:27 PM Alright well let's hear the feed back I also once done with these two builds dive into my first 1/32 Tamyia kit it will be the Spitfire and may tie it into the LSP GB? 1

Martinnfb Posted Tuesday at 10:10 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:10 PM Yup, just a buddy build to motivate each other and have fun. No expectations or deadlines, just sharing references, knowledge and good times. 1 1

I stop / start projects all the time when I feel like it. Which is nit great for getting stuff done on a schedule. That may be a side effect of having to get shit done everyday whether I felt like it or not in the movie / toy industry. Idk. But I would certainly watch one. Hint, hint. I love the whole Zerstorer idea. 210/410 particularly. And I have a little 1/72 Finemolds 410 that may be Yellow 7 from your decal sheet. I could pretend to build along! LMAO. 2

KevinM Posted Wednesday at 09:53 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 09:53 PM Thanks Martin like I said the white decals are just to thick and the spinners ..well? 1
Landlubber Mike Posted yesterday at 02:02 AM Posted yesterday at 02:02 AM Wow, that's spectacular!! I didn't realize how thin the fuselage tapered back towards the tail. Very dainty looking thing. 1 1

I p/u a 1/48 Trumpter Hun F-100C in Mobile today now off to find better decals. I've sucked at completing builds on time for group builds. I believe I'm 1 for 3 at this point Since we all had the Pro Modeler kit, I was thinking along the lines of you guys that we just share a build thread and post our pics and progress, without a set deadline or any pressure to finish. Similar to this Buffalo thread that Ernie started, Martin joined, and then I crashed (and for a change, I might have been the only one to finish his kit): Again, no time pressure, just a thread where we can all share our progress, research, etc. I'd open it to all scales and kits so that maybe we can convince Rob and Count to join And, people can just join when they are ready. Nothing too complicated. A non-group-build group build if you will. 3
DocRob Posted yesterday at 08:28 AM Posted yesterday at 08:28 AM The Hornisse is looking fantastic, Kevin, all blends together perfectly. Cheers Rob 2 1

I even pulled out my box of Meng´s -A1 version with some Eduard PE and resin spinner and props, but if I join, I do it later. I just started another Model Factory Hiro project, which fits better to the ongoing bad weather stretch with lots of benchtime. In summer, it will be different and I want to be off of a good start with my Brabham. Cheers Rob 4
