Yeah it’s hotter than the surface of the sun in Richmond VA. So enjoying staying indoors vasking in the AC and building a kit!

Yeah no doubt.  Thankfully I drive to work as it’s really hot out there.  Would die if I was on the Metro.

For what it’s worth, one of my Hs 129 has the top half of the propeller cone painted a different color than the bottom.  It’s been a royal pain to try and mask and get them painted.  I couldn’t imagine doing a swirl like yours without a pre-cut mask.

I think I’ll try cutting Tamiya tape in very thin strips and see if I can stretch them around the spinners! I’ve seen those two tone spinners also so I’ll go with what’s easiest, lol!!!

Just use the picture as a template.  Same product must be available via US suppliers , such as SB

I looked on Amazon and eBay also. I’m going to try making my own. Fingers crossed!!

Saw where a Modeller fashioned a tarp over his models canopy presumably to shade the cockpit! I thought that would look cool on my Me410.

Since I purchased all the stuff to teach myself the technique I thought what the hell I’ll use it on my 410…… then I done have to detail the cockpit and mask the canopy, lol!!!

I have to do that myself for one of my Hs 129s.  It was being towed so the cockpit and the engines were wrapped.  I’ll be curious to learn from you how to do it.  No pressure now!

Plus Mike gave me a great idea so I ordered a Tamiya 1/48 German Aircraft Power Supply and Kettenkraftrad Tow Vehicle Model Kit. Thinking about a possible towing diorama for my Me410 with a tarp over the canopy!!

it was Mike’s fault, lol!!!

Nice!  That will look really cool.  I’m using a power cart like the one in your Tamiya set for my second Hs129.  Just remember that you might need to open up a panel if you want to show it plugged in.

Good idea. I guess I’ll have to research where that panel was? Any idea?

No clue off hand.  I found a picture for my Hs 129, so maybe just try a google search?  I think the Hs 129 opening was on the engine pod.

Excellent picture and it would stand to reason that it would be located on an engine pod. My eBay canopy mask is scheduled to arrive today so I may start painting and detailing the cockpit today. Unfortunately we leave for a month long RV trip to Canada and Maine Saturday morning so all modelling will be at a stand still until we return.

I am actually planning similar "squiggly wiggles" type of camo as well. Got a new airbrush recently, we'll see what can be done.

Last mail call before we leave on our Canadian, Vermont and Maine trip.
Received a Tamiya 1/48 German aircraft power cart along with a Kettenkraftad tow vehicle. Plus a mask for the canopy on my Me210 build.

Thanks Martin however both companies shipping is outrageous especially Edwards  $24.99 charge for a $6 item!!! Maybe that’s for personal hand delivery, lol!!

I’ll see what I can do with Tamiya tape!

Hobbylink had them but I see that they are discontinued now. .......I'll look out for them.
