Romanian I-16 Type 29 Rata

Another project finish. This time I chose another plane captured. This aircraft, White 1, was the first intact soviet fighter captured by the Royal Romanian Air Force in WWII in July 1941. Cpt.av. Popescu-Ciocanel usually flew this "Rata" in mock combat against RRAF and Luftwaffe aircraft. This aircraft was destroyed in a hard landing in September 1941.

Is that the Vector detail set you used to open the gun bay?

I did not used the kit from Vector. I use only the parts that I found in the box. Kit from Special Hobby has a generous portion of the resin parts.

Considering these builds from you I suspect you are waiting for the IAR 80 series of kits to come out soon?
