Administrators James H Posted June 1, 2014 Administrators Posted June 1, 2014 Loving it! Do did a bang on job of the intake too.
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 2, 2014 Author Administrators Posted June 2, 2014 Started work on the wings. Selected a piece of copper pipe with the right diameter to make the wing spar which travelled in it's own jig, separately. 1
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 8, 2014 Author Administrators Posted June 8, 2014 Some more progress. Fuselage is perfectly smooth now and panel lines restored that got lost with sanding. With the tail on, the Reichenberg is slightly longer than the flatbed, but luckily the rudder passes over the rear of the flatbed. Adding PE to the fuse body and getting ready to install the engine and tail planes.
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 8, 2014 Author Administrators Posted June 8, 2014 Strolling along. Drilled holes for brass locator rods.
Administrators James H Posted June 8, 2014 Administrators Posted June 8, 2014 Loving this When complete, let's send some hi-res images to HPH.
Wingco57 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Saw it up close today and looks really good. The tailpipe is very impressive. Cees
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 8, 2014 Author Administrators Posted June 8, 2014 Thnx. Attached the tail planes. Getting there. Can't wait to get some paint on her. 1
RalphSarc Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Wow looking really great. Love the tailpipe detail. After using the resin conversion kit for the Ju88 I'm not ready for a complete resin kit assembly! Need a bit more scary experiences with resin first, lol!! Ralph 1
Flip Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Very nice work Jeroen! Love the setting with the railroad car. GrtzFlip
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 14, 2014 Author Administrators Posted June 14, 2014 Thnx guys, Working on the wings now. All fits together nice. The pink you see is debonder coloring the resin. Yes.. trying to erase my traces on this model 1
Wingco57 Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Very clean pe work Jeroen. How do you achieve that without sticking Your fingers together? Cheers Cees
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 18, 2014 Author Administrators Posted June 18, 2014 Hehehe, I use Future to glue the parts and when I'm satisfied i use some extra thin CA to secure the part (and not my hand). Here's some more PE to the fuse: 1
Steve Scanlon Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Really like the way this is looking, great build.
Wingco57 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Ahh the smell of a first coat of paint. It will even out al the filler etc. You are looking forward to it, you know you do.Cees 1
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 30, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 30, 2014 Progress! With the Do335 almost finished, I decided to throw some paint on the V1. Chipping medium all over. RLM 76, RLM 82, RLM 83. 2
RalphSarc Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I just bought some Vallejo Chipping Medium and a Vallejo Pigment Set so looking forward to trying the process! Really like the scheme you're following!
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted September 1, 2014 Author Administrators Posted September 1, 2014 Hi Ralph, I've used the AK brand chipping medium, but somehow i keep going back to cheap hairspray. Just works better for me... Here's what I did to the RLM 83 wings. Sprayed Alclad. Let it dry for a day. Hairspray sprayed directly in my airbrush cup. Then from the cup through the airbrush onto the model. Let it dry for 5 minutes. Then Mr Hobby RLM 83 in thin layer. Let it dry for 10 minutes. Et voila!
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted September 1, 2014 Author Administrators Posted September 1, 2014 Is your chipping brush dry Jeroen? Hi Paul. I first wet the area that i want to chip and let the water do it's work. The brush therefor doesn't need to be soaking wet. Cheers, Jeroen
Paulster Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Got it. Thanks. Am always saying, "next build I'll try it". Then I go chicken. 1
Dave J Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Mr Hobby as the Lacquerer or the water base paint?
