Administrators James H Posted April 26, 2015 Administrators Posted April 26, 2015 Hi guys and gals, I'm in the market for some new clamps. Pretty urgently. What do you use and recommend? Can you provide links?
Paulster Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 On the spring, from Micro Mark, clamps I glued #800 sand paper to stop slipping. The Irwin clamps I got at mega box hardware store Lowes.
One-Oh-Four Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I (almost always) use none. I tape parts together if needed. In some cases I use clothesline clamps as these don't exert too much pressure. 1
Pepper-Mint Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Hey James, I use the 2ways "berna" clamps. Best ever. Carbon fiber, Polycarbonate and anti-slip silicone. Best price in France : http://www.multirex.net/serre-joint-multipresses-berna,fr,4,320015-BERNA.cfm 1
krow113 Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Many different clamps for many different uses, canya narrow it down a little?
Guest Dekenba Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I'd second the Berna clamps. Very easy to use, versatile and won't break your model. They can push and pull with equal ease & effectiveness.
tomv1987 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Oh yeah, I gots a Mossie! Yes Rick, you have it down! That's how real modelers clamp plastic! 1
