TOMc
Good news. The paint is dry and I can start assembling the landing gear and the wicker pilot seat. The kits landing wheels have an access to the air valve and some spokes. I replaced them with scratch built parts to give the interior more realism.

TOMc
The parts for the wicker seats are right out of the box with zero flash. I bent the back part of the seat by wraping it around a glass, held it in place with rubber bands then submergd it in (low) boiling water until the glass was hot, remove and let cool. It took the stress off the part and it fitted up perfect. The wicker was first painted with tan enamel. After a day of drying I weathered it with three coats of brown wash. In retrospect two would have been enough. It was a good piece to practice my wash skills on. The leather seat was painted with the same tan enamel but before it dried I worked in the brown. The tail end is finished with all lines run up and taunt.

TOMc
We just might be in the air by tuesday. Just mounted the upper wing center assembly. Waiting for the glue to dry before I try turning it upside-down. I think that I will wait until tomorrow.

TOMc
Thanks. Now it is on to a real challenge. A Horten Ho229 in 1/32 scale. I have been following the work of you, my fellow modelers and in so doing, hope that I have gleaned some wisdom. Thanks again. TOMc
