Administrators James H Posted November 10, 2017 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2017 Hi all, I recently finished another rush build for Tamiya Model Magazine International. This time it was the new tool Fw 190A-8/R11 in 1/32. I built the F-8 2 or 3 years ago and loved it. This has the same fun factor. I also fitted it with numerous Eduard PE and resin sets. Paint is MRP. Look out for this one in the December issue of TMMI, out on November 16th.
Wumm
Great quality work as usual Jim. It's a solid kit without the aftermarket, but the Eduard resin sets add just that little bit extra. Any problems getting the cowl pieces alligned? S
Administrators James H Posted November 11, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted November 11, 2017 No problems at all. This is the second of these kits I built as I did the test shot for the original F-8. Makes me wonder if this release is the reason why the ZM 190 seems to have fallen from radar. Wumm
Who knows with the "Old Man"? His obsession seems to be 1/48th scale Phantoms at the moment. But it wouldn't be because this is the ultimate '190; as I said it's a solid kit but still plenty of room for improvement. And the price point in Japan is about what it is here, around the £45-50 mark... It's a lot more affordable in the Western Hemisphere, especially if you're adding the aftermarket. Kit still not on the shelves here in Aus. Should arrive 'round about the time this issue of TMMI does! S
