Hello WW1-aircraft fans.
Here are some pictures of Koloman Mayrhofer Albatros D.III Oeffag.
I took these pictures in December 2011 at the Museum Oberschleißheim.

Thank you, @JeroenPeters, @PH-GEO and @PAnderson

@PH-GEO (George)

This Albatros D.III OEFFAG is an absolutely exact replica.

The engine is an original .......... more than 90 years old.
The albatros has now flight approval.

Here images of Koloman Mayrhofer's albatross over Austria's sky on Easter 2013

Pictures are from Mr. Mayrhofer.

I hope it is OK for Mr. Mayrhofer, that I post these pictures here.

Great aerial photos - man, how cold must that be?? snow on the ground and incredible wind-chill.  I hope he's got heated gloves and boots!

@KoJo

No, sorry.
But here is a link with pictures from the first flight in Germany Oberschleißheim last year.
That was one of the flights for flight certification. The albatross is now approved with German identity.

 And here is a link to the home page of the builder.
Very interesting things to see.
These people have wood dust and benzin in their blood. ;)
