Unless my son's colour blindness has become contagious that definitely ain't purple, not even close! 🫤

Nope, you're not going colourblind, although I am. Here's what it looks like in the bottle.

I've never seen a paint settle like this before. Here's a different colour.

The pigment separates out completely.

I don't think so. I purchased it in the fall and it was a new item. They smell similar to AK Real Color paints.

Alclad UK used to separate a bit like that after some months 😳

Takom kit?

Yes , normally I'm a fan of their work , but this separate track pads is nonsense  . In service they occasionally fly off to hilarious effect, but could have done that with the odd non padded link . I've got a Takom M60s from 2018 ..with rubber tracks,  go figure !

Now with painted/weathered lower hull.

There you go with your signature weathering of some heavy metal, FA. Your Panther looks great.

Cheers Rob

Thanks a lot for the encouraging comments Rob.🙂

Some of the panels came out a bit off-color, but I think it makes the model more interesting.

I didn't know how to highlight the Zimmerit coating. If anyone has any ideas on that, I'm open to suggestions.

Careful drybrushing or with a weathering pencil.

Cheers Rob

That Panther looks fantastic.

For the zimmerit, I did a wash with a dark brown to bring out the various creases and then a light drybrush.

More work on random started models that are on my bench. This time it was fitting the chassis to a Land Rover Defender. I'm using the recent Revell kit with a conversion from C1 Models
