chuckt5 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Amazing if it's legit. Who said dreams don't come true!
gfiend Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Wow, fantastic news - doesn't get too much better than that. Is there a projected release date yet?
Struts Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 You have to give WNW credit, this is definitely the way to fire up WWI modelers prior to the Holiday season ! Regardless of the slight delay and cost,WNW will have a "Killer" model here ! They are REALLY in a league of their own. (Of course, many will buy....few will build ! )
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted November 21, 2014 Administrators Posted November 21, 2014 I'm getting one FOR SURE. 1
wunwinglow Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I try very hard to limit my purchases to Brit subjects (hey, i have to draw a line somewhere!!) and I thought I had got away with it this Christmas, WNW-wise! No such luck....... Mossies, Harvards, Lancasters, DH9, Hunters, goodness knows what else.... I can't keep up. Tim
JonathanReed Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Holy it's MINE! Awesome! <<<-------thats my money flying out the door! And Gladly!
Baron Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Your sentiments echo mine Tim!Time for me to start selling some of that 'stash' me thinks... Derek
RalphSarc Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 So very very cool. Need a lot of practice before I tackle this!!
simmo.b Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Cool!! Voted for this! She won't sit on the shelf, this one will go to the top of the build list :-)
Guest DannyVM Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I'm in for two of them.......i asked my wife, and she said it's ok ......can you believe that guy's Greetz Danny
rick geisler Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 A very Bold and ambitious release for sure! Personally, Like the W12, it is not my cup of Tea but I am excited for all of you who must have one! I will look at picking up a few of the many WNW kits I don't have yet as my Christmas gifts. Rick Geisler
One-Oh-Four Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Late one, please. Already told SWMBO that the finished product will rest on the "dressoir" in the living room. Somehow she isn't worried yet but as they (must) say in Dutch financial ads: "Results from the past are no guarantee for the future"! 1
Chema Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I can not choose neither, I think I'll buy two, passed immediately to the table construction.
swapilot Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 This is really great news, I will be ordering at least one! :D :D . I wonder how many of the paint schemes will have decals and how many will need to hand masked? In my opinion hand masking some of those schemes could really be patience trying.
swapilot Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 On 11/25/2014 at 5:13 AM, DoogsATX said: WNW has historically included decals for the complicated stripey stuff. But I really hope (cough...HINT!) Maketar or HGW or someone puts together paint masks for these bad boats... You make an excellent point. I hope someone gets your hint, then again be it either decals or masks we all come out winners with this kit (IMHO).
One-Oh-Four Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Although this subject looks like masking it oneself doesn't seem too much of a problem? At least those candy-stripes....
swapilot Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 It is not so much the candy stripe that bothers me, it is the herringbone. See F.2a Late N4297 or F.2a Early N4541, those could be "fun".
Madbox Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I have taken my time on all the kits I have, the started ones and the finished ones, I have never been this inpatient to get a model kit before, ever since seeing a super detailed 1/72 version of the late Felixstowe, I have wanted to build a large scale, but could never find one....... I may find both of these winding their way to my doorstep, even if I will never get the chance to build them....... Dave 1
youngtiger1 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 There was a post on hyperscale where it showed a box size between this and the Gotha...and guess what? This kit box is twice the size, so I suspect it will be their most expensive kit yet. Mike
