  1. My first ship build completed in 2018 was HMCS SNOWBERRY. This Revell 1/144 Flower Class Corvette is a must build kit and is highly recommended for any ship/boat builder. Enjoy.
  2. Interesting. I would have assume that any small arms fire would only leave negligible marks!! However those marks add a bit of interest to our models.
  3. Wow amazing detail. I’m envious as that fiddly work would drive me crazy!
  4. No tail sitter here!!!
  5. Okay I got excited and installed the main gear!!! What have I done, lol!!!
  6. Good point!! I usually wait to add gear, panels, antennas etc until the very end of a build!! Just got excited on this one, lol!!!
  7. There have been some fit issues that for sure!!
  8. Yeah I’ll build anything Tamiya. Their engineering is amazing. Although their armor kits sometime are not very accurate I love them nonetheless.
  9. Update: Sorry for putting this under the wrong finish thread. Should have been in the aircraft section!! From 5 years ago. (Popped up in my FB memories today!! Enjoy!! Revell 1/32 Me262B-1/U1 Nightfighter Started (07/10/2018)/Finished OOB (11/29/2018) Well it took me long enough but ”Black 5” is finished. Great kit, great fit, almost built itself and highly recommended.
  10. Thanks I was please with the camouflage pattern. I used an old leftover NATO mask I had laying around. It was fiddly masking but all in all it came out well.
  11. Okay final recent finish! Finished my HobbyBoss 1/35 German Land-Wasser-Schlepper (LWS). Super unique kit and fun to build. Highly recommend to our DarkSide members!!!
  12. Another one for the motor pool!! Tamiya 1/35 German FlakPanzer in NATO camouflage. Although a 1975 mold the overall fit was perfect especially the mechanism to traverse the guns. Highly recommended!!
  13. I flew as a crew member on HH-53 out of NKP Thailand and had Sandy’s fly low cover for us during SAR missions. Devastating bird to say the least!
  14. Oh thanks. I agree it was a monster from a different era that’s for sure!! I’m with you on the 1/16 scale!
  15. Fiddly, fiddly, fiddly!!! Here’s my first attempt at wiring a radial engine. Should add some detail to the engine you’ll never see after the cowling is installed, lol!!!
  16. I have to agree that posting pictures is much better now. It’s easy and uncomplicated especially from your photos. Years ago it was to say the least a laborious task. We’ve come a long way! Here’s Jeroen, Rene and I at the Mega Hobby Store during my 2015 visit to Amsterdam!!
  17. Finished my Revell 1/72 S-100 German Fast Attack Boat kit. This was a really fun build. I particularly enjoyed the challenges of opening both torpedo tubes and had fun simulating a port side torpedo launch to add interest to the display. I considered weathering it more however I felt a German Attack Boat Captain and crew would keep their boat looking top of the line all the time. If you’re looking for a fun kit with even more opportunities than I added to it I’d highly recommend the S-100.
  18. Yeah we had an amazing three months adventure and looking forward to our 2024 travel plans.
  19. Might be sorry for this decision however I installed the nose gear and intake nose from step 5. Any bets on how many times I break off the nose gear, lol??
  20. Thanks Peter. For an old kit it’s still a fun build. Looking forward to using the metallic paints again,
  21. Installing 18 parts L32 and 18 L9 for a total of 36 tiny push rod assembles this morning. How fun but loving all this detail. Need to reach out to a few friends for their thoughts on wiring the engine.
  22. After an hour of cleanup, careful sanding and dry fitting the cylinder halves fit perfectly.
  23. I built a very old but well engineered Revell 1/40 kits years ago that was great fun. The 1/32 Trumpeter kit is much more complex over the Revell kit. I love the detail it offers.
