I’m calling it all but complete. It was on the tables at the Nats, where I didn’t expect to place, and didn’t place. I saw the last minute application of the cowl decal bite me in the arse, as it silvered due to my lack of prep. I had also neglected to place a bomb on the centerline… Both issues are being rectified as we speak…. It’ll go in the Fort Worth Scale Modelers IPMS show at the end of this month, competing against my other Infinity build, the Helldiver.

I was told Marines can’t read, period. 🤡

Announcement of a Zotz A-20 decal release?
Clunkmeister replied to Clunkmeister's topic in Modelling Discussion
Eli, this is great news for us modelers, but I know I speak for everyone here in that your own personal health comes first and foremost, with everything else being completely secondary. Speaking for myself personally, you have been in my Prayers every single day since we last talked, and I know our Risen Savior keeps us all here through great trials and tribulation until He is truly done with us here. Only then are we called Home. Blessings, my friend, please stay safe and take it easy. Ernie -
Aren’t I such a fine example for the great world out there?

I think us large scale guys can figure something out…

It may actually be necessary to go to the unit records and check the flight logs or mission assignments for each aircraft. I know that at least for the RCAF, people have had luck that way. Hmmm GREAT pics, Martin! I know you’ve pulled off some miracles for me, personally, and it’ll be great if all this might even help in the possibility of future nose art down the road. 😙 B-24s are so incredibly overlooked in the modeling community. Now, if HK gives us that Marauder we all want….. But alas, Jennings says it’ll never happen, and he’s always right, correct? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Welcome back, Eli! There are a coup,e guys here whom I expect will chime in soon enough. Good to see you here again!

Glad they made out safely. You can’t argue with Russian bang seats. They’re still among, if not the best in the world. A Mig-23? Umm, no.

I’d be curious what theme the OP has? At the Nats, they had a group do 1/48 B-17s

Where do ya think I got the pictures?

I like it! A mix! OR, just a thought, but Red, White, and Blue theme could include anything American with colors. Armor, aircraft, ships, cars, etc. Me, I’d go Navy and do either a Ford or a Cutlass with the Stars and Stripes scheme. I think the Tamiya 1/48 Ford has that scheme in the box, and Fisher’s kit does as well. As for armor, I know there’s plenty out there. So I guess I’m good with anything at all for a theme, as long as it isne that mecha, transformers, Gundhams, or figures, because I suck at figures. I’ll do what I can to continue my reign as the “Dean of Award Free Modeling”

And “Big Guns” would give me reason to finish my RB-36…….

That’s give two excuses to go eeny meeny miney moe regarding the RF-8 or the ugly SLUF

Yep, ok. This is one conversion kit I’d wish someone would revisit. It’s a beautifully executed model of the Family Edition Skyraider and I’ve seen several stunning builds from these. They’re still out there, but it appears collectors have gotten into the act and prices have gone stupid.

Scott, don’t they just attach as per normal? I haven’t looked too close yet

Where “Rump Roast” takes on an entire new meaning… And saying “she’s really tasty looking” ain’t a good choice of words. Just understand, Madison is mighty close to Milwaukee….

Then again, maybe we just need to legalize recreational nukes

Also, the Aires cockpit kit is a really nice improvement. also, I’ll just about guarantee you that unless you use depleted uranium, you’ll need to add weight in the nose gear well. This kit needs a LOT of weight up front
