  1. Now why do I think that the seat should not have a gaping hole in the bottom of it....
  2. So maybe the same as the front turret on my Lanc. Sheeted over
  3. Well, YES! But I was thinking if HPH brings out their 1/48 version, it might be perfect.
  4. Tony, did you ever find out if they just sheeted over the standard RCN greenhouse, or is it an entire new rear section?
  5. I need to get some etching primer. I’m fresh out, so I concentrate on other important things.
  6. Haha. No, this will be a future project. This is one of the few jets I actually love the looks of. So crazy Cold War.
  7. Notice the Mk.X fuselage doublers below where the Martin turret used to be.
  8. Close, but not quite yet. This is much cooler. And civilian as well. Orenda Jet Engines testbed. This is how the Orenda engines for the Canadian Sabres and CF-100s were flight tested
  9. it’s black magic!
  10. A nose cone and tail one for any upcoming large scale 4 build. Any guesses?
  11. Carl, that IS cool. But like Mark said, it’s not a tough conversion and I can make a plug and pull it myself as well as anyone else. I’m just lazy, that’s all Sho ‘nuff is ugly, though. Although they all weren’t quite as wild as these.
  12. Tony, this is AWESOME, and I'm glad you're doing it. You'll clobber this one out of the park. One thing to think about. Regarding the RCN turtledeck modifications. There are ZERO conversions out there, so if you are thinking of developing one, consider working with someone to make it available commercially. Much like the RCAF Lanc, there's plenty of takers out there assuming the special bits are available. I was and still am considering the iconic RCN sub hunters of the 50's for my Avenger of choice. These aircraft had service lives far, far beyond what Grumman or the Navy had dreamed even in their wildest dreams. Like a DC-3, the Avenger found it's niche and the only replacement for an Avenger was another Avenger. Slow, uncomfortable, ugly, and noisy, but it'd carry anything you could load into it, and do it again and again and again and again. If it just had one more engine it would have been the perfect firebomber.
  13. Carl, it's looking great. I've always called Kitty hawk kits "thinking man's" kits. You definitely need to stop and determine which way to proceed, but once you do, it assembles great. You're knocking this one out of the park, man. I'm LOVING IT!
  14. I’m in for two if and when they’re available. What a difference
  15. Agreed completely. This is outstanding research coupled with an artist’s eye and a craftsman’s talent
  16. This is awesome. I actually don’t see a big issue when an uncorrected model is sitting on a table, but next to the corrected version? Incredible!!!
  17. Agreed, but I took the easy way out and got the superb HPH MiG-15 instead. It’s everything the Trumpeter kit should have been.
  18. This one gets a vote, it is HIDEOUS! These too. Never built the Trumpeter MiG 15/17, but have heard the horror stories
  19. Well, big meeting in 15 minutes. This time, my wife will be involved as well, she has medical training. And my corporate attorney as well. We’ll see
  20. Yep, never tried their aqueous. It’s as rare here as Tamiya enamels.
  21. Looking great, Carl.this is gonna be awesome!
  22. Rog, Gunze’s RLM colors are what turned me on to the line. They are, in my opinion, magical and accurate in color. In short, they make me look good.
  23. The surreal part of this all is that I, as the senior living relative, have inherited legal Power of Attorney over their affairs and of Health decisions regarding them both. I've been praying, but right now things look pretty bleak.
  24. Thanks y’all. The funny thing is, it’s not the money. It’s the thought that someone would take what I expect is the crappiest time of everyone’s life and run with to stab all others in the back for nothing more than a bit of quick minor financial gain. These are days I’ve been fearing for years now, and that Lone is more than enough for me now. If he feels like he needs to jam the knife in, he can, because trust me on this: he’s losing a helluva lot more by these actions than he’s fixin to gain
