Big Huge Amazingly amazing announcement coming

I'm a DJ in a parallel universe -
Uh oh! Must have been teenage hackers in Macedonia!

48 confirmed dead in the Camp Fire now, making this by far the deadliest ill fire in California history. Still over a hundred people missing, though. One of the dead was a 63 year old man with swollen limbs who couldn’t walk. He was on oxygen. There was no time. There was barely enough time for most able bodied. Remember the American Red Cross as well. Groups like Samaritan’s Purse go in afterwards well, going site to site, helping people sift through the ashes to find even the smallest of memories.

I’ve been given the green light by Staff on a cool project. More info to follow in a day or so.

Yes. Those on the front line are fighting the good fight. When the winds get up, the bombers can’t fly and lack of air support makes it doubly worse. Nerves are pretty thin here y’all. I know a few here who came within a block or two of losing it all earlier this year. It’s tough. A couple years ago, I almost burned down my neighborhood by using a plasma cutter outside and starting a grass fire in my backyard. We hadn’t had rain in a month and it was scary how fast the grass caught. If you’re a believer, y’all pray for reach. If you’re not, well, then do what you do. Send cool vibes or whatever. I’m just glad they’re safe. And we gotta refrain from feeding the strays.

Kitty Hawk F-5F done.

First look says Tiger Stripes are courtesy of my airbrush, but tomorrow will be the test. -
This showed up in the mail today, and tomorrow I’ll open it up, spread it all out, and take some quick pics of the different series from the F-5E. My foist impressions are “WOW”, so that should say something. I’ll follow it all up with a fairly quick OOB build using kit decals, etc. There’s been one or two built elsewhere, but I’m not a big jet modeler, so this will be a test for me. Ernie I aplogise for the crappy ‘Ernie pic’ but it was just a snap with my cell.

I want to do a FAA version, but being that this a -5, or Hellcat 2, my options might be somewhat limited. Comments? -
Very nice. That's an interesting subject.

I got to know Paul though our mutual deep love and fascination for the CF-100 intercepto. Paul has been a great supporter to this hobby, and for me personally, just a guy who I could call up and spend literally hours upon hours on the phone with and never talk about the same thing twice. Not quite a friend in the true sense of the word, but a whole lot more than a casual acquaintance as well. And we both have a serious deep love and fascination with the CF-100. However one chooses to donate, I'm sure that they will be eternally grateful. But please don't forget that there are thousands of other families in and around Paradise as well as through other areas in California who literally lost everything. As of this morning, 41 of those families in Paradise alone have actually lost loved ones to the flames. The scope of the human tragedy here is immense, y'all. This is a National Tragedy. California's been hit hard. All summer. Please bear that in mind. Whether it's through the LSP site or another way, just remember these folks. There was absolutely NO warning whatsoever that the fire was coming, and those who got out escaped with little more than their lives and the clothes they had on.

Yes, Cees, THANK YOU!!! Now of course, Cees if we could convince you to start a B-58, we would be oh so in your debt. Then I, of course, with get cracking on my C-46 as well.

So what did The I-16 and I-153 use? US pattern? Brit? German? Or their own?

The USMC got tired of complaints, so they made a sky penis
Clunkmeister replied to Clunkmeister's topic in General Discussion
Yup. But this one was for the flight aware geeks -
There are those civilians who hate the military. They have nothing better to do with their time but to monitor, track, and trace amilitary flight operations via the various GPS flight aware tracking programs and report every transgression, no matter how minor. So, two enterprising Marines took it upon themselves to send an unforgettable and unmistakable message to the losers out there. Of course, one the civilians complained about the “sky penis”, these two Marines, who, according to their Commanding Officer, displayed extremely precise navigation and airmanship skills, were temporarily reassigned to very important ground operational needs for the time being. Lift one high for these two lads. I’m mighty proud of them.

It only takes one person to have car trouble, run out of fuel, or get impatient and crash, and then a road is blocked for everyone. how incredibly sad.

Oooooh, raised rivets will be amazing, yes, but this bodes well for glorious things to come!
