  1. They were discounted... on Thursday. I bought the Mustang IV and had no space in my luggage for the Dornier A-12. So bought online for same price and paid shipping.
  2. In 1985, I had something like 3.75 million Italian Lira in my wallet. Then I figured out it worked out to about DM30. I was poor again.
  3. And Bruce Lee movies had better voice dubbing. Ugh, that was hideous! I see that the Hollywood “Blockbuster” ‘First Man’ apparently bombed as well. I never went to see it, but apparently the producers decided to eliminate the planting of the US flag on the moon, thinking having it would “offend” every person in the world except the Christian Right wingers in the USA. Apparently they were wrong..... LOL. I love it when Hollyweird is too smart for their own good. I wish PJ would just get on with remaking Dambusters.
  4. Well, I made it through about the first 30 minutes of the film before I gave up on it. The last 15 minutes were forced, with the final 2 spent frantically searching for the remote control. What a hideously BAD film. Horrible special effects, although the computer modeled Polikarpov fighters were nicely done as long as they weren’t actually moving. When they were moving, it was cool how they could fly sideways. Back in my military days I saw ‘adult’ films with better acting. But the 10 dollars I spent on the 30 minutes of this flick is by far the worst money I’ve ever spent in my life.
  5. That’s an aircraft you don’t see everyday, and I’m ashamed to say that despite my attempts at knowing much about early aviation record attempts and racing, I had not, until now, heard of Chevalier Lecointe. Beautiful model and an awesome likeness of the great man himself, Hubert!
  6. Carl, have you given any thought to opening the cockpit hatches? I have and am certainly going to try. I know Brian lived to regret it, but at least in my case, one of the commonalities of the PBJ-1Hs seen on the islands is the open top hatch and pushed back side window
  7. Good to know, Carl, thanks. I will adjust accordingly.
  8. Waiting for my precious....... Hopefully by Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!
  9. Carl, here I go with the age old question on interior colors. I always thought an interior green, but others use a chromate. We’re there options or am I wrong? I see RESTORATIONS done in an interior green, but who knows if that’s right or not.
  10. Heebeejeebees man! I get the chills looking at these builds. It’s awesome! Truly! Matter of fact, I’ve shamessly downloaded any pics that might also apply to my H, especially around the waist gun areas. My radio room and flight deck is completely different, as is some of the waist gun areas.
  11. Trumpy put the vertical stripe in the wrong spot too, from what I can see. All typical Trumpy stuff. Fixable
  12. Truth there, Phil. Peter, did they fix they bulging hip issue or is it still present on the newest re-releases? I can only imagine these in 1/32......
  13. Thanks! I’m just blown away by that!
  14. Pete, judging by your work, you’ll knock this one out of the park!
  15. 2lb mono line for the Gotha’s wings. No elastic here! You need structure and strength, and when you have it, it’s as strong as as any jet model
  16. If anyone here hasn’t seen Carl’s absolutely stunning build on this yet, check it out. I believe it’s here? If not I know it was over on TOS as well, but no matter where, check out the interior. Guys, I just reattached my jaw. It’s stunning in every way.
  17. This will, in one swoop, correct many of the base kit’s deficiencies. YES! Martin, exactly. We know that if we want to play the Russian jet game in 1/32, we need to get creative. Letting party poopers come and mess with our minds is counterproductive. We have ICM, AMK, KHM, GWH and others giving us SUPERB Russian jets in 1/48, of which you and I each own several, but 1/32 has always been where fools or brave folks go. You, Ivan, me, and a few others have the willingness (and need) to go, no matter the cost.
  18. There are those days that I wish I knew even basic photoshop
  19. LOLOL.. yeeeeeeeeah, maaaaan. I'd be a playaaaah...
  20. Just make sure you keep the turnbuckles lined up with the rigging. It sounds simple, but it's so very easy to be off be a sliver and have no way to fix it when using structural rigging like I do. You end up having to just "live with the slight "oops".
