Texas ice storm… Time to close the State

The roads are literally iced over and all but impassible as of last night, so I wasn’t able to get home. What’s a guy to do? Fortunately, I had hit a LHS yesterday morning, and as well, I had an unopened kit in the truck, soooooooo…. Might as well do something.

There have been one or two built on this forum already, and just in case y’all forgot, Eagle Editions makes some REALLY decent 1/32 Tomahawk decal sets, including not only the RAF Tomahawk llB, but also the AVG covering all three Squadrons. Both AVG decal sets are very accurate and also correct the errors with the kit supplied decals, especially regarding variations in the Shark’s Mouth colors. The RAF Tomahawk decals will be extremely handy once GWH releases their anticipated RAF Tomahawk version.

You know, the more I look at that, the wheel looks way too fat for a normal guy’s hands. Probably worth forming a new, skinnier one, but it’ll be hard too see as it’s buried between the wings.

Cool! The ubiquitous 172! Yeah, you pretty much have to no exactly what year airplane you want to model, a d stick to it, because Cessna built about 2 gazillion of them and changed them year by year, just like automobiles..

There were AM decals out there at onetime to simplify the application of the seal tape on the canopy and windscreen. I’m not sure they’re still out there.

I’ve stalled out on a Hasegawa E. No reason, just chugged to a stop. This one oughta do it: challenging but accurate. My problem is that I try to outsmart the kit. Leave off internal detail that will be hidden, etc. at times, that gets me into trouble..

I think so, too. Gotta be one of the ugliest and most boring schemes out there for that bird, but it’s incredibly historically significant.
