  1. Texas ice storm… Time to close the State
  2. The roads are literally iced over and all but impassible as of last night, so I wasn’t able to get home. What’s a guy to do? Fortunately, I had hit a LHS yesterday morning, and as well, I had an unopened kit in the truck, soooooooo…. Might as well do something.
  3. There have been one or two built on this forum already, and just in case y’all forgot, Eagle Editions makes some REALLY decent 1/32 Tomahawk decal sets, including not only the RAF Tomahawk llB, but also the AVG covering all three Squadrons. Both AVG decal sets are very accurate and also correct the errors with the kit supplied decals, especially regarding variations in the Shark’s Mouth colors. The RAF Tomahawk decals will be extremely handy once GWH releases their anticipated RAF Tomahawk version.

  4. I got tried of waiting for the US distributors and ordered from Hannants.
  5. A d I still forgot one more: a Kitty Hawk Little Bird real close to finishing.
  6. Oh, I forgot the HK Mossie.

  8. Right you are, my friend! And that, Sports Fans, is why we shouldn’t rely on restorations and/or previous model builds for reference. 😡 The good news being I only lightly attach easily knocked off parts with a drop of CA, so off they come. 😂 It’s GOOD to be the Lord of the Manor.
  9. OMG! Just about pissed myself!
  10. Awesome look, Rob! I was online a couple days back, looking for period maps of the North Sea shore, etc. I’ll certainly find something and add it to some PE. And those metal braces look stellar!
  11. Oh man, I’d be building that Cobra. It’s a stellar kit!
  12. You know, the more I look at that, the wheel looks way too fat for a normal guy’s hands. Probably worth forming a new, skinnier one, but it’ll be hard too see as it’s buried between the wings.
  13. As everyone who builds resin knows, test fit, text fit, test fit. Tomorrow, on goes the internal CDL and wood areas, dirty up and rig the interior. Oh yay.
  14. Oh nice! I’ve just learned a new trick. I freehand all my lines, and it sometimes takes me a couple shots at it. I’ll be doing this from now of. Looking absolutely super so far!
  15. Cool! The ubiquitous 172! Yeah, you pretty much have to no exactly what year airplane you want to model, a d stick to it, because Cessna built about 2 gazillion of them and changed them year by year, just like automobiles..
  16. There were AM decals out there at onetime to simplify the application of the seal tape on the canopy and windscreen. I’m not sure they’re still out there.
  17. Dang! That thing looks truly monstrous!
  18. Now this will be fun to watch as Jeroen’s epic build comes to a close
  19. I’d be 100% game. Texas will be hot and humid. But it should be fun.
  20. Redoing the rudder ain’t a big deal, Bill. And if it’ll bug you forever, then fix it now. Nice job so far.
  21. I’ve stalled out on a Hasegawa E. No reason, just chugged to a stop. This one oughta do it: challenging but accurate. My problem is that I try to outsmart the kit. Leave off internal detail that will be hidden, etc. at times, that gets me into trouble..
  22. I think so, too. Gotta be one of the ugliest and most boring schemes out there for that bird, but it’s incredibly historically significant.
